  • Frances, When you run the rock world you can dress however you want & this is perfectly fine for 73'. OHALF GET A CLUE! This is John Bonham AKA Bonzo, The Beast. Not Sonny Bono or the political singer of U2

  • eh mt doido

  • his name isnt bono lmao

  • shutup jackass you dont even knoow his name...

  • I don't where the comments are coming from about Zep's wardrobe. Truly, these are the 70's were talking about here. I lived through through with Zep and no one really ever cared what they wore. It's ZEPPELIN WORLD, their MUSIC is what counts.

Heck, I'm speaking on behalf of the women who are PLANT LOVER'S really. His attire is FINE it's called Sexuality, sex appeal. !o)

  • Your welcome everyone.

  • How lovely and charming! This is a nice band.

The music sounds quite complicated, but overall it's a pleasant sound. The guitar player is very accomplished. Wish they would wear more clothes, though.

  • musik isn´t as complicated as it soungs at the first moment ;) just have a listen to "Since I´ve been loving you"- madison square garden 1973, I think this is much faster and quite hard stuff, though^^ and i can recommend "over the hills and far away", too. YOu may find it with the title "OTHAFA 1973" here on youtube. but thanks for being pleasant to zeppelin, always a pleasure to get new fans of them ;)

  • It was probably quite hot in there!

  • Well, really, that's no excuse! A little decorum on Celebration Day. If a lady took off her blouse when playing or singing it would be distracting. This is not to be prudish, but the singer could get pants that are not worn in... well, where he er, dresses. That's a bit vulgar.

I like groups to all have the same outfits, you know, like say, Brian Epstein's boys..forgot the name, but they opened for Mike's Jazz in the Cavern...They cleaned up nice and had haircuts to match.

  • I think epstien's boys your'e thinking of are The beatles. And 4 or 5 years later they didnt really match as much as they used to

  • If they fire up all the lights the temperature on stage can rise about 40 degrees in half a minute.

  • jimmy is the best guitar of the history, i love celebration day and led zeppelin

  • the riff to this song is fucking amazing :)

  • love it, too :D

    wonderful audio quality...awsome clothed jimmy

  • I love this solo!

  • 0:34

  • better than the recorded version

  • K FICHIIIIIIIIIIII SONO I MIGLIORI

  • I wish Robert Plant would hit the high notes..:(

  • y didnt they put this on the mothership dvd?its the same concert from the ocean and misty mountain hop

  • i wish they would of swapped misty mountain top for this song, misty mountain top is a good song but this would have been better

  • misty mountain HOP

  • it's misty mountain hop, you idiot.

  • not it isn't you idiot

  • I was responding to something that someone said in the comments, if you thought that I meant that this video was of misty mountain hop.

  • just have a look on the title of this vid: "Celebration Day" :D

  • Thank you very much. I listened to all the songs you suggested and loved them.

Since I've been loving you is really beautiful with a great guitar solo. zeppelin has been a very pleasant experience and you are a very kind and pleasant person. I like Custard Pie. Are you familiar with that song?

  • This isnt in the Song Remains movie either, or the Ocean or Misty for that matter

  • this is by far the best version of the song ever

  • best musical recording ever!!!

  • This song Is on the The Song Remains live record what´s new about this?

  • the solo makes me smile

  • haha same here dude

    its a good feeling solo

  • Skatekid....I agree.

  • At 2:32, nobody's messin' with Bonzo! See how he shoots that feckin' pigeon at 3:29!!

  • i wish plant would tour with them =(

  • Celebration is way underrated its a really nice riff and good lyrics, like typically Zeppelin everything in golden from Plant's voice to Jone's bass line

  • I agree man! Listen to Jones and Bonham laying it down while Jimmy rips over it!

My and my buddies play this song live...it's such a fun song to groove on!

  • I love that song and performance! :D

  • nice name

  • fuckin awesome riff

    another hidden song of zep

led zep fuckin rules and all the way

    hell yeah

  • If you ever wanted to know who the best is...I am! Step off!

    Jimmy P.

  • Compared to the studio version, this is GREAT!

You know, on the studio version, there is two or three guitars. Jimmy Page is ONE guitarist, an the live version from Madison Square Garden 1973 is AMAZING! I wish Robert would hit the high notes...

  • Robert Plant, seriously, JUST COME AROUND! For the sake of us Zeppelin fans born after 1980! We all want you to reunite, Alison Krauss is what, 37, she'll be able to tour for a while...

  • brill thays all i can say enjoy

  • Does anyone have an early live version of this song? lets say 70-71? I've heard lots of Live Versions, they all seem to be from 73 and on. Haven't heard a live version that Robert actually hits the high Notes. Thought an earlier Live recording may do.

  • Of course Robert hits the high notes on the live versions from 1971. You can find here in YouTube a version from Osaka 1971.

  • this song is soooooooooooooooooooo much better live

  • holy shirt, ive been looking for this, its sucks that they put it in the dvd, one of my favorites, rock and roll!

  • they didnt*

  • Yeah unfortunatly

  • ya in the song remains the same dvd, it played the intro of this song then the riff on bring it on home, then black dog, but did that really happen? lol

  • i don't understand why everyone goes crazy over "stairway"( poser fans) I mean it;s a good song, but nobody pays any attention to songs like this... this song is just as good... to all you poser zeppelin fans who don't even know the names of the band members..... screw you!!!

  • jimmy page = best dance moves ever

o yea he's pretty good at guitar too

  • lol! yes he is!

  • amazing.

quit picking which member is better. it's led zeppelin... they are 4.

    amazing video :)

  • PAGE IS A BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ah but Bonzo cannot be described without using the words: "FUCKING BEAST" together.

  • amen man amen....

  • This kicks ass !!!!!!!

  • Page and Plant, but decidedly not Plant and Page.

  • Watch the end closely.Music doesn`t match Jimmys` playing. Remix!!!

  • The reason it doesn't match exactly is why they left it out of the song remains the same.

They felt is wasn't upto quality standards at the time the film was released......

  • youre right. page just took the best shots from the 3 nights in madison square garden and made one "perfect" film, and that's what we're callin the song remains the same "live album".

  • One of Jimmys` best live performances.Who thinks he is a better acoustic player than a lead, not rthythm guitar player?

  • he is just as good either way

  • Jesus I love this version. thanks for the footage too YouTube/Zeppelin/The Universe.

  • oohh,,god,,,that´s music your music!!!!..

    amazing!!!

  • greatest concerti in music history!GODS OF ROCK ZEPPELIN!

  • thanx 4 the post luv it

  • This song kicks ass!! Listen to John Paul Jones & Bonham lay down the groove man. Page's tone is so tasty here...love the ending too!! Excellent live version!!

  • hey can you upload over the hills and far away, i can't seem to find it anywhere on youtube anymore for some reason

  • put in othafa

  • doesn't work, dang, it's a great video

  • hahaha random love letter/paper ball at 2:58 hahaha ... thats cool I wanted to see footage of this song... its awesome

  • I *much* prefer Jimmy's sound around this time than in 79.

I'm still looking for that amp, err, bridge!

  • page is god.

  • I'm confused, this footage looks a lot like the Black Dog section on the DVD.

  • This version isn't the version on the soundtrack album. I like both versions.

  • This is a band worth celebrating!

  • Well said!!

  • what's with over the hills and far away from tsrts being taken off of youtube, i can't find the video at all, could you possibly put it up

  • no dude 1:18 is badass

  • this version is better than the studio version...

  • I love the studio version but you are right!

  • Finally, possibly my favourite Led Zep song on youtube, and live!

  • "I'm I'm I'm I'm so happy...."

    It rocks

  • damn this song is sick i tried learning it on guitar its 2 crazy thats why page is dubbed guitar god

  • Yeah. I've been playing guitar for 13+ years and I have a hard time with this song.

  • check out the sick move Page pulls at 3:18. I always thought that was badass.

  • Yeah, it sure is! Page rules.

  • Yes, often Soundtracks are better sounding, though they are SOO AMAZING!!

  • The Toronto '71 soundboard version of this is the best. Still, you have to love Jimmy in '73.

  • i like this version much better than the studio version;)

  • Agreed. It sounds so much more raw and energetic.

  • Too bad this is the cutting copy. We don't get the solo from the soundtrack, which is from another night. A shame page couldn't use the footage from that night and this night combined, but then again he couldnt because he wa legally binded to the audio only.

  • personally i think this is led zeppelins best concert.

    well this or Montreux 1971.

    or the reunion.

but when you listen to the song remains the same CD not DVD they just jamm to the other songs.

especially on black dog with the bring it on home intro!

and rock & roll goes straight into this song so yea.

  • When Zep played this song in 1971 and 1972 Jimmy played it on the doubleneck (mostly on the 12 string) and Plant still sang it like the album version (much higher that this one). Cross your fingers for an official live album from Japan 1971 or maybe Montreux 1971. It might be a few more years, but I bet we'll see something.

  • I should add that the early versions were not like the Knebworth one. He played it on the 6 string neck for Knebworth. Not so in 1971 and 1972.

  • Hmmm...

Dodgy mishmash of MSG footage from 73, with some clear shots of Page during the solo and chorus but other elements seem entirely mismatched (that high rear angle of the band and audience was effectively an outtake from the opening 'Rock And Roll', as we know from the old 'Song Remains The Same').

Nice, I guess, but hardly anything to get excited about.

  • If you're talking about that one which starts at 3:11, it can't be the same. It's quite long compared to the one from 1976's "Rock and Roll". Also, look at either Page or Plant's movements, and they're not the same.

  • You forgot they performed three consecutive nights at the MSG. And, so, they chosed what they wanted to figure in movie. All these three shows were filmed.

  • simply fkn awesome,,only wish I was there 'cause you'll never see music like this again

  • I love how they change it up at 1:24

  • I love how they change it up at 1:24!!!

  • KICK ASS!

  • Fantastic song!! You can have Stairway to Heaven. I can listen to Celebration Day over and over!

  • some thing funny at 2:57

  • lmao something white was thrown on stage:P

i wanna be there that would be crazzy cool

  • Thx a million for posting this one.

  • I love this song

People should put on more live Led Zeppelin videos instead of all these slide shows! We all have the CDs on our computer! I wanna hear Friends, For Your Life, and The Lemon Song live!

  • One of Zep's grooviest tracks. That's saying something cos it's all ACE

  • the second jimmy's solo is something amazing!!

  • the second jimmy's solo is something amazing!!

  • Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!I never saw this!I just have the audio! This is from the new dvd of the film...,GODS OF ROCK LED ZEPPELIN

  • never one of their most popular songs which i never understood. the song is awesome ! an all around stellar production

  • One of Zeppelin's most obscure songs from III.If you ever had a chance to see them perform it live, which I did on several occasions, this song absolutely screamingly howled in concert with Page's sunburst Les Paul. Those were the days !

  • oh shit!! like, this is it man. this is so fucking awesome that we all actually get to see this song being played...fucking awesome!

  • falta un cartel que diga TEMASO

quiero hacer un cover de esto que es magia

  • i love the way plants voice is during this song, this live version from TSRTS soundtrack has been playing on my iPod nonstop for the past few days.

  • Jimmie's solo in the middle of this song has got to be the best guitar solo ever! It is so good it gives me chills every time. Along with that bass groove, it achieves rock and roll perfection!

  • Like a little roller coaster ride ... so fun!

  • A++++

  • just hear JPJ his bass, so grovin'!

  • Just two words. THIS ROCKS!

  • los dioses del rock and roll

  • drkam6, if you got the special edition, it was on disc 2, along with the song The Ocean as well.

  • lol at 2:48 it looks like bonzo has a halo

  • thank you sooo much for uploading this!!

  • Fantastic!

Why wasn't this included in the movie??

  • it was

  • Not in the original "the song remains the same". This is the bonus material from the brand new release.

  • could you post the interviews?

  • thank you, man!
