  • with my little experience, i will question why shift so many up? i can see advantage in shifting down to sprint it out. can anybody tell me why someone would want to shift up so many? a mountain that suddenly appears from 1% to 20? i think its awesome technology and the shifting appears super silk.

  • Why not also develop shifters separate from the brake handles like on modern mountain bikes? This would mean easier shifting and less expense to manufacturer and user. I believe there is a market niche that could exist for this separate shifter and brake lever set-up system.

That nich died decades ago. Road bike components are about weight savings. Fewer clamps and attachment points = less weight.

Riders want to shift while actually riding. That is where a riders hands are normally. It would be really out of place to have them in a different place.

  • spettacolo!
