  • I remember Leslie showing me this film.

She said you were having a hard time syncing the sound with the video.

You really were ahead of you time. Very cool!

I met Leslie when we were working at John Kane Hosp. We were aids. I was going with another girl and Leslie was going with another guy. I remember now how really beautiful she was then. More than that, how much fun she was to be with. You know like a most unforgettable person type.Really had a had a major crush on her. Hope she's OK. Ted

  • @TedSchafer52 Hi Ted! Yes I screened this when you saw it... wow decades ago. No one I know who knew Leslie Donahue back then knows what happened to her. She married and lived I think in California ages ago. We all wish her well and hope she is still around but is is worrying that no one knows anything. Leslie was incredibly beautiful and charismatic and one of the most delightful fun people to run with. I have great memories of my friendship with her.

  • @CBHighberger I did some looking around and from the pictures of 3/26 it looks like Leslie is doing fine. At least from the pictures on her facbook page.

    cheers,

    Ted Schafer

  • @TedSchafer52 Ted I looked at all of them and none were she. If you have found her, suggest she add me as a friend (or email me the link to the one: craig.highberger at gmail

  • cool film, interview with a vampire meets true blood! I love vamptre movies.

  • hehe. that's brilliant.

  • Extraordinary, imaginative, intelligent!!!

  • Very well shot movie. It is quite melodramatic as well! Dracula and all the characters in this movie were awesome.

  • This is class A stuff!

  • OMG this was sooooo good!!! so funny great job!!!! haha the ending was so lol :)

  • LOL THE "BEFORE" TWILIGHT!!

  • Brilliant! I can't even imagine what a pain it must have been to shoot with actual film back in the day.

  • LOL how right you are! You never knew if you had the shot until after it was developed. Each 100 foot roll (just under 3 minutes) of 16mm B&W reversal film cost $36.00 in 1972 converted for inflation, that would cost about $183.30 today - so it was insanely expensive. Don't even ask about the cost of a release print.

  • I totally know how that goes. We actually just wrapped a short horror film shot on 16mm black and white called PUREE. It didn't take two years but when there are so many set backs with the camera it feels like a lifetime. Good work and way to rep Pittsburgh. Romero would be proud. You should totally check out PUREE and tell me what you think!

  • 17 huh?

    Awesome

Lol she made a bad impression in front of his familly.

    Great job

  • Wow that's awsome! I am ron sabatucci's son, austin, and i just saw it for the first time. Dad has told me about it before but nobody ever believed him...He's doing well and still lives in scott township in pittsburgh.

  • The shot where Dracula walks into the light was awesome. This is just a really pro, pro short. Great job.

If you get a chance, check out my short film BLOOD PONG. It's a horror/comedy about vampires who play beer pong with... yeah, you get it. Give me some feedback! Thanks.

  • Enjoyed it!!! Was this filmed in Lebo? Just curious because I grew up there.

  • Yes, it was filmed in Mt. Lebanon (at a friend's house), at Kaufmann's near South Hills Village, and at South Park! What fun...

  • Better than Twilight!!!!

  • That was the BEST. :)

  • So glad you enjoyed it... I grew up in Pittsburgh in the 1960s and naturally Bill Cardille's "Chiller Theater" and George Romero's "Night of the Living Dead" were local influences!
