Remove the hard drive from the computer. Find a SATA - USB or SATA - ESATA adapter. Plug in into your computer. Copy Files to the new hard drive and bam! Your dones.

To get the data of an old mac. use target disk mode

Requires Firewire 400 cable.

start up old mac while holding "T" key. you should see a giant firewire icon.

conect the 2 computers together with firewire and it should appear as a mounted disk on ur MACBOOK PRO.

copy away!!!

As of the old hard drive you have to take ur old macbook apart. Take the old hard drive out of the macbook laptop and put the physical harddrive into an External Encloser. VIA USB and Your New Macbook pro will detect ur Old Hard Drive like a Flash Drive E:? or F:??? But thats the only to copy the data/ Transfer over...

I know how to get the files from youre old macbook hard drive even if youre macbook died.

You have to take the hard drive out and put it in an enclosure that you have to buy, you then plug the enclosure into youre new macbook pro via usb
