@paigow66 with a G27 there's no reason you should have to unload a full clip in self defense... you need to improve your shot, not your weapon. And the texture is purpose built, not meant to be nice and comfy. If there is an assailant approaching you, you want functionality and accuracy, not a weapon that keeps your manicure intact. Try a lighter trigger and a stronger forearm, not smoothing the grip that is built for GRIP

Nice deal man! I have heard allot about the "+2 base plate bite." I have a factory Glock +2 mag, as well as a Pearce +2 extension. I like the feel of the factory mag more, but can't beat the price of modifying a mag I already have. This might sound crazy, but you might be getting pain if you are holding the gun to tight. Try looking up some videos from Todd Jarrett on hand positioning.

ya shot placement is key to stoping someone 2 to the chest one to the head he won't be going anywhere i like my 26 i traded my g21 in for it and i forget i got it on some times.

right, any fairly new shooter shouldn't start with a 27, unless they can rent it first and fire ~ 500 rnds with it. Also, I prefer $10 'Decal' brand grip tape heavy texture but rubber. Die cut for exact fit and excellent grip without sanding off your skin.

@SoulGABlack no it really is the texture. when i shoot regular range reloads its not a problem but when you use self defense rounds like the HST this thing packs a PUNCH. the difference in kick is night and day really. just after 1 box of 50 self defense rounds the raised texture will start to bother you. not a big deal i dont plan on unloading a full box on a bad guy.
Grip tape is used on lots of things, and you can but grip tape pre-cut for the model of gun you have. Cutting your own grip tape for your gun is way cheaper than buying the pre-cut tape. Some people like it, some don't.

Grip tape is used on lots of things, and you can but grip tape pre-cut for the model of gun you have. Cutting your own grip tape for your gun is way cheaper than buying the pre-cut tape. Some people like it, some don't.
