Any correlation between gays and Blacks is false and offensive; 1)The civil rights movement was spear headed by Evangelical Christians, who didn't/don't advocate the gay social agenda 2) Gays have NEVER faced oppression, discrimination but, never oppression. 3) You can conceal sexuality; You can't look at a man or woman, and assume their sexuality, race cannot be concealed. What's stopping employers from screening these applications? Additionally, it's not even required to list one's race when applying for a job for this reason specifically, it's called racial profiling and it's illegal.

@trixapete The reason why we need faith + proof, is because the proof is within your intellect. There's literally thousands of signs pointing to a Creator. Being a human being, we're weak. We rule the super natual as either not real, magic, or an evidence of a God. When one has the option to decide if those intellectual signs are coincidences or evidences of a God, he needs faith or else he will rule those things as coincidences or magic.

However, as I stated, I've never sought anyone's "respect" so I've also never really concerned myself with anyone else's beliefs. If it doesn't affect me why should I care? One of my best friends? Atheist. Another? Christian. Both good people. How they feel about a Creator vs no creator has no bearing on how I relate to them.

Any correlation between gays and Blacks is false and offensive; 1)The civil rights movement was spear headed by Evangelical Christians, who didn't/don't advocate the gay social agenda 2) Gays have NEVER faced oppression, discrimination but, never oppression. 3) You can conceal sexuality; You can't look at a man or woman, and assume their sexuality, race cannot be concealed. @coliwood The civil rights movement was supported by MANY different groups, including communists and atheists. While evangelicals did have some part in it, there were many more evangelicals that preached against civil rights.
Homosexuals have suffered oppression. If one is not allowed to be their true self for fear of social or physical retribution, that's oppression.
As for race being concealed, do you realize that many black people "passed" for white? If that isn't concealment, what is?

The notion that one would even have to /hide/ something that defines them at a job interview speaks for itself - something like sexuality should have no influence on a person's career.

What's stopping employers from screening these applications? Additionally, it's not even required to list one's race when applying for a job for this reason specifically, it's called racial profiling and it's illegal.
