You know where the pads are because you have to hit them all the time. You don't always see where the next pad is, you just KNOW where it is. Muscle memory is a common thing.

@Bonnaroo10klmf It's different because you have to play exactly as the game wants you to, and that's not something a lot of drummers like to do. The game gives you some slack though because its timing window for the notes is quite large.
