Yes. I can play battlefield 3 on med settings fine, MWF3, arkham city, saints third, all have run fine. Except in Arkaham city I can crappy fps in the indoor parts. I think its a combo of the game itself and my cpu. I mainly play PES 2012 and FIFA 12 which run great.

upgrading from HD5770. my current crappy setup is a 2.66 ghz duocore, 4gb ram, win 7 wlt x86. When I had my 5770 I would avg around 2500 on furmark scores. Avg 40fps and higest max fps ever achieved was 75fps. After yanking out the old 5770 and installing this disgustingly awesome card I got max fps of 120, avg 85 and min 72. First furmark score w/ new 6870 was 5056!!! keep in mind I did not upgrade any other hw just the GPU. I am extremely tickled w/ this card.

Hey man, Came accross your unboxing of this card, I have the same one. I was wondering if you could answer me a question? i own a samsung 32 1080P 650 series, 60 Hz, and when I use the HDMI instead of the DVI, the DVI looks so much better, than the HDMI. You would think it would be the opposite, NO? anyways, was just wondering if there is a setting on the tv, which i checked, and messed around with the catalyst settings, still nothing.

@cdrigotas1 DVI is better then HDMI This is the same as my 42inch flatscreen anyway see what the max resolution your can get of your DVI port (by right clicking the desktop and click on properties then change resolution to highest) It's most likely 1920x1080 and no there is no option to change the settings of your TV your resolution is only maxed by the numbers of pixels it has

why is my 5870 different? it doesnt come with dirt 2, the fan is in the middle and it has cooler packaging (it has a funky tray with all the accessories in it :D )

@theSman11 This is the AMD reference Design board, you probably have the one that uses XFX's custom cooler :P As for the game, I don't know, but it is very well possible that they no longer give Dirt 2 to you, since, well, the game is now, 1.5 years old, Dirt 3 is out etc, if you would have waited a bit longer, they might have a different game supplied, I saw one version of this card with Assassins Creed.

@kensuu1995 you can put a 5850 or a 5870 in your computer without crossfire but you won't see any benefits in performance that you wouldn't see in just having the 5850 or 5870 on it's own.

@ixy1987 depnds which card you get, both companies do 5870s with 2GB of RAM and 1GB of ram, but in theory a 2GB 5870 from xfx should be equivalent to a 2GB card from Sapphire
