  • hi viperkeeper, tell me, what is that for a snake above the lancehead`?

    greetz from germany

  • @myself76NRW Bothrop atrox

  • HOly shit , he lunged like 4 feet at you , I think he was plotting that all day long .

  • Hey Al, is this the snake that bit Jim from KRZ? That was very tragic, I hope he is well! God bless you, and please stay safe!!!!!!

  • @Keithattal5 No, this one is younger by a year or two

  • @viperkeeper I'm sorry my question was confusing, I meant was it the same species! Sorry AL, can't wait for tomorrows video! God bless you and keep you safe!

  • @Keithattal5 That is correct.

  • congratz on gettin featured :)

  • ok maybe this question has been asked before, but do you keep antivenom on hand, you know... just in case? *chomp*

  • you should invest in a riot shield.

  • Is this also known as the "south american copperhead" or "fer de lance"? I have never personally seen one, but remember as a small boy reading on the fer de lance, and it looks the same. Highy necrotic venom that pretty much ensures the loss of a limb. Truly amazing and gorgeous... That guy struck with 5/6 of his/her entire body length... snake out of a can is right! lol

  • Jeez, how did it NOT tag you? I swear you just walk between the raindrops, Al!

  • Wow that was close maybe next time the snake say!!

  • haha it followed your stage directions to the T.

  • @irelephant One of the worst bites locally.

  • @viperkeeper How do you extendable hooks hold up. I was looking on the midwestsite and saw that they are made of aluminum. Do you use them with any of the Bitis? What is the heavest you go. Daboia? or do you only use it with the smaller Elapids and Viperids like the cerastes or the young purpureomaculotus.

  • @EvolutionExotics The Midwest hook is very strong & durable. Plus Midwest stands by their quality. I use is on heavy Bitis no problem using it in a double hook situation.

  • @viperkeeper Thanks

  • @viperkeeper do you have any nonvenomous reptiles?

  • That strike was immense Al! lol

  • I would have crapped my pants

  • whoa! I'm surprised it was able to remain anchored at the tail given its momentum while striking. Phenomenal.

  • Whats the snake above the Lance Head?

  • @theghosthunter1983 Macrovipera turanica (Blunt nosed viper)

  • @viperkeeper .

WOW, nice reaction time on your end. Good to know that snakes habit so you can be ready for him. Sure would hate to see you on the news for all the wrong reasons. Have a great weekend.

  • @viperkeeper where do you get your hooks from

  • @EvolutionExotics Midwest

  • @viperkeeper I'd like to see more of that snake :0)

  • Thanks , Happy Thanksgiving to all.

  • My word!! I don't think I've ever seen a snake that can strike the whole length of it's body before!!

  • Al, I just wanted to wish you a big Happy Thanksgiving Day! One of the things I'm thankful about is we still have good people like Al in our society today, even with all the evil in the world this man is a great human being!! Thanks Al, and be safe!!

  • Happy Thanksgiving Al, I hope you have a nice feast! Give thanks!!

  • I love scary short videos. I just hope that they won't suddenly stop. Be careful Al!

  • lancehead or launchhead?

  • It is a good thing that you have many years of experience! That snake would have nailed a person without your knowledge!

  • That certainly would be scary! Thanks for sharing!

  • Guess that little fella hasn't yet heard the phrase "Never bite the hand that feeds you"... A very Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family... and safe travels, too!! :)

  • Good thing, your reaction time is quick.

  • HAppy Thanx Giving to you too Al : )

  • Awesome! You have some pretty crazy snakes in your collection there Al. You weren't wrong about the spring thing. He struck well over half his body length. keeps you on your toes I guess. :-)

  • Damn Al, how far can that sucker strike? He looks like he struck his hole length! That was really scary, please taked care! Are we gonna have a video friday since it is thanksgiving weekend?

  • @Keithattal5 Just about his whole length!

  • Makes me think of the anti-personnel disarming tanks that launch the chain across the mine field. Except instead of an explosion of shrapnel, you get venom.

  • I think a clean pair of shorts is in order!

  • You can always predict these to be unpredictable hence the reason you were more or less ready for jack in the box to do its thing

  • that would make ya drop a load in yer drawers

  • Wow it really put a serious effort into that strike. Thanks for the vid not sure it would have been worth your life, but its a good video none the less.

  • @TalkHeavy Would not have done it if I thought it had any chance to get me....

  • Hey Al, isn't one of these same species (Possibly even the same snake) already features in your intro...where you yell - ooowwwwe ooh hooo! at the :13 second mark ? I'm sure you're very cautious when feeding these guys, but I would imagine if there is such a thing, as a snake, thats an accident waiting to happen, it would be one of these guys-LOL

We wish You & Yours, a Very Happy Thanksgiving, I'm not going to say don't eat to much, because we all will anyways, and then sleep it off. ~Lee

  • @mykidsdad36 One in the same Lee.....nasty little bugger!!

  • @mykidsdad36 "ooowwwwe ooh hooo" sounds like Santa Clause after one too many pints. ;-)

  • That was close!Amazing snakes.

  • AWESOME!

  • And we can see why people who have to milk snakes for a living say large bothrops are the absolute hardest to handle. Can advance on you like an elapid, strike with the quickest vipers, long fangs, strong, and heat sensing pits....what's not to love?

  • Woo. Close one!! I love your videos!!

  • Al, will you QIUT DOING THAT!! Scared the+++ out of me!

    regards,

    Tasha.

Ps. I might have to come over and beat the ___ out of you !

  • @tashagotjunk99 Maybe I need a disclaimer...warning about watching without visiring the bathroom first....LOL

  • How close did he get?

  • @metalbornmetalbred Few inches...

  • @viperkeeper Bothrops Atrox is always a Toad

  • @metalbornmetalbred Close enough to ruin your day lol

  • is this guy deadly? that was scary...

  • @MIK41510 Kills lots of people in it's range

  • @viperkeeper My friends that also keep private collections have a couple of cryptelytrops purpureomaculatus. Man those are some nasty little devils!

  • @EvolutionExotics Love those!!

  • @viperkeeper Me to. Purpureomaculatus is my favorite Viperid though. Love those nasty buggers!

  • all you can say is : WOW, now i need to clean up!!!

happy thanksgiving to you, especially after that!!!

love all your near misses and other episodes as well!!

i've learned enough to know i'll leave them to you!!

  • it's cool how they heat track.

  • not just your disclaimer it looked like you were about 4in from getting tagged. Then you would have been it. That snake has one hell of a reach. I was suprised to see it didn't fall out the cage. That spring went back to being a spring again. Give that to someone who wants to make a training video

  • hey al have you ever been bit before and have u ever had any tarantulas or venomous lizzards

  • oh wow!

  • close call
