Don't get me wrong, I think both Marverl and DC comics are cool, but your comment about everyone in DC being stupid is inaccurate. Batman is very intelligent. He is able to maintain a dual-personality to hide his superhero identity, and he makes a lot of his bat-gadgets. Also, he is often called the "world's greatest detective." He was one of the few people without actual super powers to be counted worthy of joining the original Justice League.

Secondly, Batman is just one guy (he's a genuis but not up to Reed Richards level), and there aren't many supergenius heroes in DCU (of course supergenius villains is a different issue)

Of course many marvel heroes are reckless scientists who learned from their mistakes (which often gave them their awesome powers) and learn to be more cautious.
