  • A lot of stupid comments here. Swing is a subgenre of jazz, therefore swing IS jazz. Just the same way that a lot of subgenres fall under the rock umbrella. The same goes for bebob, hard-bop, post bop, fusion and so on. They're all jazz.

  • @edwardjames50 I suppose bebop, hard-bop, dixieland, modal jazz, fusion and bossa nova don't qualify as "jazz" either?

  • I'm just dying to know what OakPark11MileRd had to say. Why has it been removed?

  • for anyone saying its jazz, or its swing. It's called big band. And it's influenced by both genres. Music genres are too vague and widely influenced for labelling, they all just crossover. So quit arguing and enjoy it, that's what it's there for.

  • do you know the song.. monkey donkey ..lallala i dont know more..??? its a swing song ..i dont know the name of the song..but he says in the song. monkey donkey :D

  • lol, the stereotype of an old couple dancing and snapping their fingers

  • This is jazz right?

  • @WHATTIMEU3WHATTIMEU3 Technically yes, though I think that jazz implies some kind of creativity, and I find none in this superfluous rendition.

  • @WHATTIMEU3WHATTIMEU3 ~ No, this is NOT jazz, it's swing.

  • @edwardjames50 and just how is swing not jazz? ...what?

  • @Noosl ~ How are apples not oranges? Jazz and swing are two entirely different musical genres, that's how.

  • @edwardjames50 Also called Big Band music, swing music. a style of jazz, marked by a smoother beat and more flowing phrasing than Dixieland and having less complex harmonies and rhythms than modern jazzAlso called Big Band music, swing music. a style of jazz, popular esp. in the 1930s and often arranged for a large dance band, marked by a smoother beat and more flowing phrasing than Dixieland and having less complex harmonies and rhythms than modern jazz

swing is a STYLE of jazz.

  • @edwardjames50 Freaking twat.

  • @edwardjames50 swing is jazz what do you mean?

  • @goshaix4 ~ No, swing is swing, and jazz is jazz. Two different genres.

  • @edwardjames50 no swing is a genre in jazz u nazi midget what the hell r u talking about

  • Ooh I like this!

  • efwefefefdcdc

  • i love this song me and mum play the whole album in the car haha he sounds amazing

  • OakPark11MileRd, please stop being a hater

  • @OakPark11MileRd I think Robbie Did a good job of this album. It introduces a whole new generation to swing. Those peolple will then go along with you and listen to Louie Armstrong or Frank Sinatra.

Look at him as a starting point. This is how I see Eric Clapton. It was through him, I discovered Buddy Guy, Robbert Cray and Albert Collins.

  • btw you cant avoid copy right just by stating it lol

  • robbie does swing just as well as pop :D love it

  • that's my uncle doing the vibraphone solo at 1:13
