So if i was to hook up a laptop to the usb port on the mixer, and i wanted to use traktor, would the mixer be compatible or do i need to go out and buy the audio 6 by native instruments? i am of course talking about using DJ software to mix, and not recording my mixes
@TheNiteLite1000 you would do external mixing with the mixer - you do not need to buy the audio 6 dj, because the CDJ's have built in soundcards. This means that your setup would involve plugging in the cdj's to ur computer and using the mixer externally - you could still do all of the syncing and effects trhough traktor.
i think with things like bpm lock makes things too easy even though that sounds stupid but it takes the main thing away from mixing which is beatmatching, if a beginner was to get this set use the bpm lock and then for whatever reason use another set, different make then they wouldnt know how to beatmatch, it just takes away any skill and makes it easy for anyone

does any of the new generation usb interface players work with an ipod as a music source which would save having to swap all music files to usb stick

@juicytues I believe these CDJs you can just plug in an ipod. I know with the 400 you can.
