I have the EXACT same kitty hat you had in her dresser, the pink one! It has the matching mittens! I never saw the booties for sale though!!! We pretty much ONLY do second-hand clothes for Veda. Seriously, the first year all she has done is GROW OUT of clothes. I refuse to spend lots of money on baby clothes. Cute changing table and super cute rug. Her room is beautiful! I LOVE IT! Your ergo has the cutest design on it.
@JessC00k I never saw the little mitens for sale either, those would be so cute! I LOVE second hand clothes, why bother buying brand new when they aren't in them long enough right?! doesn't the ergo have a nice design on it? I LOVE it! I am trying to find a decently price wrap now too.
No problem :) putting it on before she latches and having her latch while it's wet pretty much wards off any problems, but putting it on after and letting it air dry takes care of anything else. I was amazed when someone told me about it and it worked! I hate the lanolin stuff too and it didn't work for me, and it's scary to me since you're supposed to wipe it off before nursing. If baby can't ingest it, why do I want it on my nipples when I'm BFing even if it's 'safe'? I'm funny about stuff tho
@mommylove2585 Thanks for the tip, I will be totally trying it out once she is here. :D i know what you mean, plus I can't imagine it would be very lovely to have it in their mouths or even just a tiny bit. They say not to wash your breasts/nipples because we have natural cleansers or so to speak and baby likes moms sent soo why put that stuff on. I guess if you are desperate and NEED something right? I had it from before when my nipples were changing earlier.
@chick8526 True, but the walmarts here suck :( I checked two close to me and they had nothing that was big enough and didn't actually look like a babies diaper bag. :(

I love how your cat is laying there face to the fish tank glass! I saw the lanolin stuff, just wanted to throw in my 2 cents :) the only thing that worked for me ever was breastmilk on the nipple before latching and then after feeding (let it air dry after you put it on there after feeding, but latch her when it's wet when you put it on before.) If you research it BM has healing properties and infection fighting stuff in it, and other people have swore by it so I don't think I'm too crazy lol :P

I have heard about putting breastmilk in a babies eye if they have an eye infection but didn't hear about breast milk on nipples to help so thanks for letting me know!! i'll have to try that for sure, probably will try that before the lanolin to be honest, I hate out oily it is, ick!

@fcossell I hope soo, I had the hardest time deciding which one to go with so I made Dustin pick it. I am! Dustin's mom is throwing one for me at the end of the month. I actually wasn't planning on having one, but hey I'll let her throw one and have her fun. Its actually a baby shower for Dustin and I so he will be there and can open gifts and enjoy it too. :)

Yeah, there is no point in buying a ton of 0-3 month stuff when she is probably not going to be in it for long enough, plus I would rather buy second hand since it wont get used too much. suncatchers are awesome, I love it!! Kinda looks like you have some glow bugs in a jar when it lights up at night. :p
