@dodgechargercrazy from 0:11 to 0:12, there are a set of headlights in the background under a lamp, I tried to add an annotation but there's no good way to do it for a moving target
the lancer is the base car. it's not turbo or really performance-based any more than say a honda civic. it's still a really nice car though, don't get me wrong. the ralliart and the evo are to mitsubishi as the wrx and the sti are to subaru.
ahh...true true. i wish i could afford the evo cuz man that would be awesome. yeah i think having a car that much faster would get me in a lot more trouble...haha considering i dont have my lisencse right now for exessive speeding tickets...anyhow...i have a new question. i took off the muffler today to see what it would sound like and it sounded awesome...is there a cheap way to get that sound but with out havin to buy a whole new setup? some people have said to gut the muffler? how?
there's no easy way really... look on nasioc for straight pipe or muffler delete. but keep in mind NA cars (non turbo) will not run properly with such a lack of backpressure... turbo cars are more flexible as it's better to remove the backpressure to allow the turbo to flow
okay...that makes sense. by not running properly do you mean loss of performance or damage the engine? if its damage to the engine then F that man! haha
possibly both. look up "back pressure" in relation to non-turbo engines. at the very least you'll have LESS torque (power) and WORSE gas mileage (mpg). for a little "buzz" it's not worth it if you ask me. the money could be better spent on a lightweight flywheel or something like that which is guaranteed to give you increased performance.
so...i did some research and now im thinkin that is a very stupid idea....im startin think im gonna have to actually spend money if i want a diff. sound. (no duh right?) this brings me to a whole new question... is it worth just buying a different muffler or am i better off to buy the whole system? brand? etc. by the way, i appreciate the help!
agreed, I have the 09 ES Sport, nothing impressive, I plan on trading it in perhaps, and naturally, ralliart vs. wrx and evo vs. sti the ES Sport just has the looks, but not the 4WD power that the other models would typically have.
the interiors are pretty nice... MOMO steering wheel and shifter, all of the HVAC controls are easy to use... the only downside in the older models is the seats - but you can fix that with some STi Recaro seats.
Sound system is damn good, as long as you don't crank it up too loud and break it. In terms of parts, it really depends what you want to do with it. I highly suggest getting used to the feel of the car stock first, since the capability of the car will likely surpass your capability as a driver for a little while at least, even as stock. Please don't take that personally-it's just a true performance car, and it demands respect thereas.
wow same thing happened to me, did he get a ticket?

I'd buy a whole system so you're sure everything matches
but like I said, you'll get more performance elsewhere
