Speed run very good but it has been done in about 95 % by using glitches:

- climbing walls

- jumping through fences

- getting shrinked w/o shrink ray etc.

- and beating last boss simply blew my mind

besides he's playing on easier difficulty level (lots of monsters missing)

@The Fist Marine you did notice how Fernito's name is on every level? It's not stealing if he's crediting the original owner/player and if the original is not copyright protected as long as his image does not appear there is nothing he can do about it if he's been given the credit for it.

Actually his items are intentionally reset since he's speedrunning levels not single sagement thus it requires that he's got only starter items.

This speedrun is made even more amazing by the fact that any extra weapons and items aren't carried over to the next level. He always starts every level off with 48 pistol rounds and 100 health. Nothing more.

When you stand over the boss' head, his rockets will hit himself, because of a game bug. Actually, the pistol and kicks justs make things a little bit faster, but the major damage comes from his own rockets :)

The majority of speed runs you see, like half-life done quick, are generally segmented they've just had the level transitions edited out.

Demo recording stops when you hit the end button, that's the reason why I made a segmented run. Well, that actually make things harder, since you don't have all the stuff from the previous levels (weapons, jetpack, and so on)... believe me that I'd have done a single segment speedrun if it were possible ;)

It's not possible using the original DOS version 1.5. Maybe using ports it's possible, but ports aren't allowed in SpeedDemosArchive. And yes, these are my speedruns.

lol you use dos? i hope a dos.box and you could use a recording program, and if the demo stops recording, couldnt u make it record again when the level starts?

SDA doesn't accept neither DOSBox nor ports recorded demos for some reason (you can go to their site and read the rules section). As for recording, I use a Windows 98 based computer (using DOS version of Duke).

Recording on DOS version is very limited. The only way to do so is starting a level from scratch. You can't even load a previous saved game and then record. haha, I know, that sucks.

This speedrun is awesome! Congrats !

Its amazing to see how well these levels were truly designed, I mean sometimes you just jumped on an enemy onto another and finaly get to some place, what brilliance by 3D Realms ! And you of course for discovering and mastering it.

You must be playing this since ithe release.
