Always good to be reminded every so often that most 'art' is utter shit. Pretending to use symbolism doesn't relieve you of the responsibility of expressing it. You have shots of a white face, an atomic explosion (yeah, that's not easy, open-ended symbolism), the face coming out of a white background, and some red food coloring. Then you mashed them together with no purpose in mind, except to appear high-brow and sophisticated. Pretentious nonsense.

Very interesting. Really liked the video. It's nice to see a surreal video project that doesn't have to do with sleep. I understand that surrealism has to do with a dream-like sequence, but the use of sleep has been way overdone. I'm trying to avoid the use of sleep to produce a surrealistic envision. I saw recent surreal video projects from a previous class, and it vexed me that they all used a sleep sequence. I guess I have a problem with things that are too common in use.

I am peeved that you tube has crap comments that make it to the front. People really don't have a general understanding for art. This is by far a great piece of videographic work. Reminiscent of THX-1138, yet incredibly diluted with audio patterns.

One can gather so many definitions of what is going on here in several variations, and they way they do it is utterly splendid. This work is beautiful but a bit disturbing. I'm not sure I like the music/noise that was paired with it, as I imagine the moment of the creation of man to be a beautiful one. Also, the red color coming down to take over the man was very symbolic of the Fall, when sin entered the hearts of human kind. Well done.

The editing in this is amazing. The combination of stark colouration and slowed time against the repeating bleep of the soundtrack, it creates a beautiful yet unsettling atmosphere. I loved the seeping red morphing into a heart as well, very clever.
