  • I use mosin nagants as firewood. They burn well and keep the house warm.

  • spartan765 you are handsome. :D

  • If the barrel is fully freefloated then it's not stock. Mosins are notorious for having pressure points in the stock pressing upward and are notorious in the wartime years especially for having fairly shoddy fitting. The pieces may be all matching but I'd bet that someone's sanded the inside of it to float it if what you say is true.

  • Looks like a fantastic rifle, however anyone who would pay $200-$250 for it is a fool. No Mosin is worth that much. I have several Mosins including a '31 Tula ex dragoon with all matching serial numbers and a perfect barrel and paid $115 for it at a gun shop. The most I have seen a Mosin like yours or mine go for is $140. So if you can find a sucker to pay that much then maybe but if anyone has done his/her research they won't pay that much for it...

  • You must have loads of money to have so many guns

  • I have a 1929 mosin that is an izshevsk. Mine is an amazing shooter and i picked it up for 125 bucks out the door! Awesome rifle and video!!

  • looks like the sniper version to me without the scope...

  • I just got mine today. All matching serial numbers on every part. Stock is in immaculate condition. The crown is perfect and the rifling goes all the way up to the muzzle end. I will put a video up for all to see. I'm so excited to have gotten a mosin in this condition.

    -cheers!

  • It looks great, but ex-dragoons are relatively common. Just because the stock is a prewar stock doesn't mean its original to the rifle. The parts that are serialized are also likely force matched. Nice refurbed ex-dragoon!

  • that rifle saved the world, nice review by the way

  • Nice Mosin Nagant! Looks like you won the lottery with that one! Good luck with that old soldier.

  • i have a 1943 in the same condition the barrel is free floated as well, the barrel looks chromed its just flawless all the parts match all same arsenal. it payed 80bucks for it at the local pawn shop and one thing that shocked me was the bayonet matches as well. the stock is a prewar style with the screwed in sling slots and all. its a 1943 izhevesk

  • talk louder !!!

  • My buddy and I went through a pawn shop in Iowa about 2 months ago and they had an (average) Mosin Nagant 91/30. It was already cleaned up and had no cosmo on it which to me is worth something anyway! LOL! But I'm thinking they'ld probably want $100 to $125ish and when I asked about it, they said it was priced at $1800 bucks! He said he paid $1500 for it because its an antique German (YES GERMAN!) rifle and he thought $300 was a fair profit on it. Yes he felt like an idiot, believe me! SUCKER!

  • my mosin has all matching serial numbers and is perfectly freefloated

  • Great purchase man! These sometimes go on sale for $89, but they will honor your recipt for $99 by giving you a $10 gift card! That's what they told me over the phone anyway... Either way, impressive buy.
