`Republican$ are always saying that they hate"Big Government". Ryan does not know anything about creating jobs. In Jan 2001, there were 111.634 million private sector employees. By July 2003, there were 108.266 million private sector employees. 3.3 million private sector jobs lost. The solution was a tax cut and lax enforcement of banking regulations. You got a few years of mediocre growth and a huge crash. Last month there were 109.4 million private sector jobs. 1.14 million private sector jobs added since the 2003 tax cut. Ryan is a idiot.

We also need to stop (right now) wasteful handout programs like medicare, social security, unemployment,, etc. and lower the minimum wage to $2/hr so we can compete with China. Corporate tax reform? Corporate profits were 1.8 trillion in 2010. Corporate tax receipts were 191 billion. That's an effective tax rate of 10.6%. So far as federal spending, federal spending was 3.45 trillion in 2010. It was 2.98 trillion in 2008. That's an increase of 7.5% a year. Federal spending was 25% of GDP so it could do no more than increase real GDP by 1.8%. Not enough to keep unemployment from rising (you need 2.5%). Ryan is a liar.

That money does not come from anything thy paid in, it comes from the portion of the country that actually pays taxes. Raising taxes on companies or the business owners will effectively raise taxes on the poor because the poor do pay embedded taxes in product prices. Raise tax on business, they raise price

When taxes are raised, business raises their prices on products and services. If that means a 20 cent rise in the cost of shoestrings then Bill Gates pays 20 cents more and the poor person pays 20 cents more. 20 cents is a higher % of his total income than it is of Bill Gates. The Shoestring Co. doesn't pay the extra tax, it collects it from it's consumers.

He is talking about widening the base to include more in the 25% rate and closing off loopholes that allow people to write off thousands of dollars. Also the fact that people can get more money back from the government than paying in just because they have enough kids needs to be done away with.
