  • i have a question what do u do on weekends and are u mostly free?

  • how do u get a place to live on base? Do u get apartments ?

  • @brandonmckenzie1 you get barracks. they're just like apartments

  • Your eyes... *____*

  • Thankyou! You seriously helped me. I was hesitant about active duty but now I feel more confident.

  • @ohsosyd14 IT'S NOT THAT BAD..... AND YOU CAN SIGN UP FOR 3 OR 4 YEARS AND AFTER ITS DONE YOU CAN GET OUT!

  • Can black females wear tiny afros in the army?

  • @54CFC YES I HAVE SEEN A FEW CREAMY CRACK FREE WOMEN WITH THEIR AFRO'S

  • do u have to share a room when ur at your MOS?

  • @BrionnaLane2012 WHEN YOU ARE AT AIT? YES! MOST DEF!

  • i was happy to recieve my honorable discharge. i got tired being emotionally n physically abused by the evil nco's. well the good part? the va is taking great care of me. thanks army, i'll be on psych meds for life. :(

  • I'm joining hoping to go medical but I am so ready and excited....but hey MsDanaKay are you from New Orleans you sound like you are...I'm not but I knew a lot of people from there in DC and here in Orlando

  • @jnels2007 I hope your willing to wait a long ass time lol those jobs are highly sought after. I've heard horror stories about people waiting for a year for medical slots, because they give them away to highly qualified people people with degrees trust me it sucks. Enlisting has always been the foundation for youngsters now its just a job. If it seems like its gonna take longer than 5 months to open take first responder class (its only 8wks) that would give you a upper hand for 68W

  • when u are deployed is it all combat

  • @lilclarence245 No, depends on your job. Even if you are grunt, you probably won't see much combat as today you're more likely to hit an IED or VBIED.

  • I'm sorry I am just enjoying watching you talk. You are gorgeous. Wow.

  • @vcjjj08 LOL THANKS!!

  • @MsDanaKay can you ever be late for work?

  • @vcjjj08 agreed lol.

  • WOW, think I've just gotten a little positive re-enforcement by just watching your video. The part about not getting too wrapped up with getting told what to do, you've given me a couple of pointers for mentoring my own soldiers, thank you. Ur video was prolly meant for new soldiers but we who have been in a couple of years sometimes forget where it all began. Thorough without overwhelming, clear, and if it ain't too much to say..you're damn hot ;) Thanks for the post and for the motivation.

  • @CognaSpate I AM GLAD IT HELPED!

  • haha i love the way you talk, hooah!

  • "you just can't be shootin a missle around here.." Lmao, you cracked me up with that one! :) Love your video, thanks for posting.

  • I heard the new recruits Does all the cleaning duties and shit stuff ( mopping ,cleaning etc ) is this true ? im not sure if this happens in canada tho , but does it happen in states ? did you do any of thsoe stuff right after BT ?

please respond would be a big help

    thanks!

  • @capajc RECRUITS ARE IN THE MARINES.... THE ARMY HAS SOLDIERS BUT IN BASIC YOU DO CLEANING TO KEEP OUR AREA CLEAN, AND AFTER BASIC YOU CLEAN YOUR AREA AND MOSTLY EVERYONE DOES IT AFTER BASIC

  • @MsDanaKay the call it policing, so i guess the clean up the area guys are policemen

  • Mswizkahlifa I go to ft jackson too on oct 31

  • I KNOW IT ALLS DEPENDS ON YOU BUT WHAT IS THE QUICKEST TIME YOU CAN GET PROMOTED/ MOVE IN RANK? LIKE IS IT POSSIBLE TO MOVE FROM A E1 TO A E4 IN SAY 4 MONTHS?

  • @MrsChasityNixon Are you serious? You can start as an E-2 or E-3 with certain numbers of college credits or years in JROTC. Other than that, unless it's a meritorious promotion, it takes about two years between each rank to be promoted.

  • i'm leaving for ft. jackson in TWO DAYS !

    still feels surreal.

  • wat happen when the girl is on their time of the month?

  • hmu

  • your eyebrows are perfect :D

  • @MRvelite083 THANKS SOME DAYS THEY COME OUT GOOD SOME DAYS I AM LIKE DANG

  • @MsDanaKayhmu on tagged :P

  • What exactly where your duties while assigned to your unit..like what did you do ?

  • @karennoscar i worked in a warehouse. I did receiving, stock control, and issue. Now I am a dental assistant.

  • @MsDanaKay oh ok thank you..

  • @MsDanaKay funny...i just subbed...Im an army wife and a dental assistant....lol...wow

  • i swear in this week

  • @bullheads1 WHY WOULD I..... NEVER MIND

  • for the most part, if you are a person in need of structure in your life, the Army is perhaps a good look for you. its not the only look, but just a good one. you find people of all cultures, back grounds, race, religion, whatever...but there is usually one common thread...they were all knuckle heads at some sort....and im talking about people enlisted as non commission soldiers here, not officers. and the military is not for everybody, it will either make you or break you....depends on you.

  • @TheLonewolf313 WELL SAID!

  • @MsDanaKay Thank You! it change my life....

  • @MsDanaKay are u in the barracks, very cute, i love ur decor

  • Oops my comment got cut off but I was tryin to say...when u said it takes a brave person to join it made me feel proud & glad I made this decision ;)

  • I liked ur video. I'm in DEP so I have a few months before basic. I was only able to choose from mp or 92F. I chose 92F because I heard mp's have a horrible schedule, also i can't see myself being a cop. Do u kno anything about mos 92F we go to ft lee also so I'm sure u can tell me something. I really want to be a 68x but I have to wait til I re-enlist. There were practically no jobs available :( what mos have u done? & what did u enjoy most? Thank u for the vid, when u said it takes a brave pe

  • Thanks for the video! Can you tell me how difficult the ASVAB was?lol Im terrible at math any i'm worried as to how difficult it might be

  • @MsDanaKay I love this video,I love that fact that you are a ''soldierdiva'' lol,I was thinking about joining the Airforce or Army, you really inspire me..My dad did infantry..

  • @cexximami1 go airforce we have planes

  • Can you control where u go??

  • @purplehartTV sometimes! it depends on the needs of the army though....

  • @jhonnycashowns first of all, is someone asks me something about the ARMY I will give them my perspective on it...... second you can go the fuck to hell #welcome!

  • @karla2180 dental assistant

  • why did you go into the military?

  • @mmstarla college money, to get away from home!!

  • @MsDanaKay @MsDanaKay , I already went talked with the recrutiter and im trying to get all the paper work i need. Iwant to tell u that i was thinking about army and when i saw ur video was like the push need it to. Any way, wha type of work you do in army?

    Thanks

  • i found out where my ait was before i even swore in, i guess because its in the location as my boot camp

  • @ebonie326 Yup thats how it is sometimes!!!

  • I love your videos I will be joining pretty soon and ur videos are awesome and educational keep them coming thanks a lot! Peace

  • @aabward thanks for watching i am glad it helped let me know if you have any ques

  • @aabward omg! really!! How old are you? And when? I want to join so bad too! Actually I am, but I'm preparing myself for the asvab, it's kind of hard haha MESSAGE ME girly!!

  • @princesskimbie i am 29...... whats hard about the asvab?

  • @MsDanaKay MATH!!! Seriously its so hard, I hope I do pass it!! Did you already do the asvab or not?

  • @princesskimbie lol i did my asvab in 1998!!! I have been in the Army for almost 12 years

  • @MsDanaKay oh haha that's pretty awesome!

  • my husband leaves for basic sep 19th. now when he comes back from basic if he does where do i go. like will they tell me to find my own way theere? will i have to pay out of pocket for me or do i even live on base while he is in AIT?

  • @RachealHerself OK, when he join the Army will know that you guys are married! So you will just wait until he is done with training then when he gets to his duty station you will be able to come. I am not sure but the Army should pick up the ticket for that dont quote me! But he will get like 10 days once he gets to his duty station for you to find a place to stay!

  • @RachealHerself Whether you can move with him or not, depends on how long his AIT is. For example, mine is over a year long, so I can go retrieve my husband ASAP when I get there. If his training is less than say, 16 weeks or so, you will unfortunately just have to wait for him to finish. When it comes time to come get you, the Army will grant him leave so he can come help you and bring you to where he is. Don't worry, they won't leave you hanging : )

  • ummmm u r sexy as hell. and i hear that island accent of urs. dope!! just thought i'd mention

  • hahaha, you were trying so hard not to talk Army Lingo, too funny. I struggle everyday when talking to the Soldier's families. It is funny how armylingo becomes so common that it sort of becomes it's own language or dialect. good video honey

    ~number1armydiva

  • @ibqtubu lol i tried!! Thanks for watching!

  • can you choose the field you want to do??

  • @BlueBananah Most of the time you can unless the Army has reached its Max in the field you have chosen! Also it will be good to make at least a 110 on your test!

  • I ship march 22 for basic and AIT excited! MOS is 92Y :)

  • @waynehersheykiss08 great mos! have fun!

  • @MsDanaKay Im sure going to try!

  • For me I was sent to my unit before Basic and AIT. So I report to drill every month before I go. Not sure if everyone will get that oppertunity but it allowed me to get aquainted with my unit and get a feel for how things would be before I go. I had the chance to talk to people who went through the process and had experience in the field and I also had the chance to learn alot before leaving.

  • @Knichole26 I think only reserves and may NG do that! I know for sure active doesn't! But I know that helped a lot!

  • Well said!

  • thanks for this video. my youngest son is going in this april.

  • @angeewells good luck to him!

  • how do you become a sniper? lol i know its a crazy question girl..lol but how? xo

  • @JaliscoGringa u have to be awesome with ur m16 then get sent to school 4 it!

  • So you are on active duty or the Reserves? And your husband is in the Army, too, right?

  • @davidluv4 now reserves! hubby active!

  • @MsDanaKay oh ok cool. :)

  • Very informative vid gurlfriend. I won't hold it against you that you chose the ARMY over the NAVY! *SMILES* j/k...u know I have nothing but love for ya. I was in the Navy for 10 1/2 years (got out in 2003). =)

  • @1DivineChocolate they can get it, help is out there! but yes it is a challenge!

  • your skin is glowing :] wish my skin was like yours!!

  • @gtfab16 hard work and struggle!

  • nice vid, im still thinking about my MOS but im almost certain i want to be in a combat MOS. ill join in the next year in a half...sucks i gotta wait so long. do people in infantry or combat mos get breaks. like a 12 hour work day or something.

  • @ChromeTone1 they get more breaks then any MOS cuz in the real world their MOS is not needed only during war!

  • @MsDanaKay ok nice, i have a question: in the army do you have to memorize a creed and do you have to do the rifle movements things( like when your in your class a or b and you have a rifle and you do like right shoulder and stuff) cuz i suck at that

  • @ChromeTone1 in basic yes!! Not so much once you get to work only for ceremonies

  • @MsDanaKay ok thanx, can you change your MOS and if you can how many times and how soon

BQ: does everyone get issued those cool shades

  • thank u for sharing

  • @mariline355 thanks for watching

  • Nice Vid Thanks for Sharin

  • Gonna share on my facebook, I'm an Army brat and most of my family is in the military. Very informative. I think they would love to see this.

  • @nshouston31 Awh I hope they like it!

  • Hi, I was recently looking into NG. Could you do a vid in detail about that? Their site doesnt have as much info. I havent went in to talk to a advisor because i havent thought everything through with family. :) it would help

  • @MonroeLUVKIZZ it is just the same as Reserves the only difference is NG works for the governor of the state that you will drill for! Reserves work directly for the Prez!

  • Your makeup is very pretty.

  • @shirleyrowland thanks so much!
