No we're talking. start investing in your gun drills and also gun reamers. they will make your life easier. I would recommend replacing your wood lathe with a metal turning lathe. I would recommend a distance betwen centres of 900mm or so which gives you room for the reamers and drills. a headstock spindle bore of about 35 to 40mm diameter and plenty of tool steel for making your own cutters. some deep hole internal bores, etc. then you're all set up.
