when taking in stainless steel make them use there gun on it,they will always say it sticks to a magnet to screw you,you must say"hit it with your gun" and they will do just that.

i make them hit anything i cant identify with a gun,they dont like doing it but they have to or they can be shut down for fraud.

@alderaforall This was on State property. There was not a house within at least a mile. Picking this stuff up was no different than stopping along the highway to pick up trash.

when you scrap you have to provide id so they know its not stolen, does this create a paper trail for the IRS?

I'm always finding scrap along the bank of our local river. I find about 2 to 3 hundred dollars worth every year. The nice part about is no investment to speak of + you're cleaning up the enviornment and making a few bucks at the same time.
