@bubznumber1 answering to the best of my abilities. 2AM and 2PM are in the same company, under JYP(Entertainment). They all trained & tried to be under "One Day" (watch Hot Blood Men documentary). Then they split into 2 groups (2PM and 2AM) - 2PM debuted with more of a dance/acrobatic?? image where as 2AM had more of a ballad type image. 2PM fans are called Hottest (hottest time of the day at 2PM) and 2AM fans are called I AM . together they are I AM Hottest ! also as mentioned before, ONE DAY<3

Comparing their older and newer performances, I think it's good the way it is now with Jay going solo and the rest remaining in 2pm because Jay's personality and skills is more suited for a solo artist. In 2pm, he was taking too much attention away from the other members. Junho for example is hardly noticable here but it's clear to everyone now that Junho has great singing (especially live) and dancing ability.

I was reading some of the comments about Jaebeom outshining the other 2PM member when he was the group. I disagree. All of their members had have their chances to shine, especially members such as Nichkhun, he was also very popular when Jay was still in 2PM. If you really stuck close with 2PM before Jay left and watched all of their shows, the other members show their talents through variety shows and such.

But can you see that he seemed to do everything :( He was one of the two main vocalists with Junsu, and also a rapper of the group, and was the main dancer too. Wooyoung, Junho... were so.. hm how can I say? Fuzzy? Yeah they kinda just sang 1 verse and then moved back to be backup dancers for the rest of the song :(

They kinda switched positions with each other many times. For example, in Heartbeat & Tired Of Waiting, those were Wooyoung's turn to be main vocalist, then in Without U & I'll Be Back, those were Junho's. And both of them can show their dance skills more and be the two main dancers of the group. Also, Nichkhun now can show us he can rap well too.

With Junsu be the main vocalist, Taecyeon be the rapper, Chansung be the subvocalist, Nichkhun be the rapper and sometimes the subvocalist, Wooyoung & Junho, like I said, 1 of them be the main vocalist, depending on the songs, and both be the main dancers. All can show off fully their talents.
