WE are dominant only because, in our arrogance, we think that we can destroy anything that is of no use to us, including the air that we breathe. This seems to be backed, most often, by books written by men that say we are the one single unique creation of a god that has unending power over all. @darwinavour It could be a bird of paradise. A. R. Wallace wrote quite alot on them while in New Guinea. I don't know the exact species though I'm afraid.

Your statement reminds me of a scene from the last Matrix move. Where Neo and the old man discusses the relationship and power balance between the machines and humans. Neo says humans dominate them because they have the power to shut them down. To witch the old man reminds Neo about where they would be without all these machines.
