  • lol youre blowing those balls

  • all you need is 2 neodymium magnets and a straw...

  • I thought this was going to be about brave storm chasers.

  • anyone that has internet to view this on can find much better entertainment

  • glue? GLUE? =_o dude don't know how to spot weld!!

  • The only problem with these things is the price. It's almost $40 for ONE SET, what ever happened to toys being cheap? On their website it says that welding two ball bearings together is "no easy task" well I've never had any formal welding training and I did it in about two seconds, so that's pretty much bullshit. The ball bearings are about 50 cents each tops, so that's what, 4000% profit margin? Could be wrong on the exact %.

  • @gfdriver The guy actually gets the hurricane balls from some other person who makes them, and then resells them. But the reason for such a high price is that the guy he gets them from is not a large manufacturer and makes one set at a time by hand without a huge assembly line, and is the only person who makes them. Also because of shipping and handling, the reseller having to raise the price to make a profit AND he lives in the UK so their money has more value, they get very, very expensive.

  • to keep me from playing with gorilla glue my mom told me it never comes off and if I ever put it on my skin falcon would get me stuck to me...

(I used to be scared of the falcon from stewart little lol)

  • does it hurt if you touch it ?!

  • 1 guy 2balls

  • i got that magnetic balls to but how to do that?

  • ima do this with marbles and hot glue

  • might have worked if you actually welded them not used some sort of glue or putty. i saw the orgianl vid, his was awsom and he didn't to blow them constantly either.

  • how r u blowing them

  • jb weld might work better (not that the gorilla glue didnt)

  • how about running some high voltage between them and putting them together.

wouldent have a massive glue blob on them then

  • omg! Gorilla glue is amazing!

  • you can also do this with a small magnet from cutting the magnets out of the sticks in magnetix or sumthing like that then getting two steel balls light enough for the magnet to carry put the balls on either end then tying a string in the middle and holding it up with sumthing in the open i.e. hand stick off a ledge etc. and blowing on it

  • could i use marbles?

  • @oOMarioMafiaOo You can actually, i did and it works well. I superglued them together too.

  • @oOMarioMafiaOo yes but they must be very smooth

  • u can just use some epoxy glue and any 2 metal or plastic balls to do this

  • do u just glue 2 metal balls 2gether...if u dont...the where do u get those

  • Yes, I sanded the sides so the glue could get a better bond. I used Gorilla Glue, then I bind them for 4 (four) hours and then let them set for 24 (twenty four) hours before spinning them.

These eventually came apart because I dropped them, so be warned they might come apart when spinning. type in grand illusions in google and the web site should come up.When there click on toy shop and to the left should be a list, click spinning tops and you should see the hurricane balls.

  • I think we know what the numbers mean :3

  • @sws4819 4 (four/FOUR/1+1+1+1/twoXtwo) hours? That seems like a long time.

  • @asherdeantruitt or..................you could watch household hacker's vid on how to make them.

  • put the air compresser above it

  • use glass or summat they wud go faster then

  • were can i get one plz tell me

  • hi.I think the plastic thing you are holding is not a good surface for this kind of experiment. Since plastic vibrate when they exert a force and the balls vibrate when they spinning, the plastic surface will prevent the spinning. So I would suggest and harder surface. Anyway, interesting experiment. cheer up mate.

  • You are exactly right, but this is what I had at the moment. I was still surprised to see them spin as fast as they did on it.

  • thats awesome!

  • i see you are like suffer controlling the balls while blowing em.why not try playing it on a concave place like a concave mirror or something?

  • Don't have one, and a regular bowl is too steep, plus by moving the platform I have better control of them. Thanks for the idea anyway :)

  • smart idea!!! u use the side of the magnet to put away the two magnet ball to make it float,in the same time one magnet can be push away while another one could not so it continew to be spining am i right?

  • No, it's compressed air blowing on them.

  • lol i made them with marbles and they came apart and scared the shit out of me.

  • did they go flying off?

  • yea they did

  • haha.same goes to me.

you have to file the marbles first

  • haha.same goes to me.

you have to file the marbles first

  • can u use like magnetiks balls

  • yo ima make 1 with my bbs 4 my slinshot

  • can you use marbles

  • You probably could, but I wouldn't, if they were to come apart or hit something they probably shattered since they are made out of glass, I have seen them made out of plastic.

  • how do you make Hurricane balls???

  • I took two steel balls and sanded a spot on each and then I applied a little gorilla glue to the sanded sides

then I placed the balls in a clothes pin for 4 hours then let dry for 24 hours and that's how I made them, but a word of caution, I would buy the real ones, these might fly apart during the high RPMs. If you do try to make them I would wear safety glasses and do it somewhere where nothing would break if they should come apart.

  • i just made huricane balls from glass balls. they are not so fast...

  • The glass might have a different reaction to pressured air, probably cause the glass is lighter, or the size can make a difference too. Try using a heavy metal.

  • tuch them when they spin it hurts!!!!

  • I bet they do, LOL!

  • Welded or not, those still look like there going fast. Cool.

  • They are, I just trust the bond of weld more then glue, just imagine if they came apart going that fast.

    Thank you for the comment!

  • They aren't half bad.

  • Thanks! Personally I would of rather welded them then used glue, but unfortunately I don't have a mig welder.
