  • This is not entirely correct ... E34 540i which passes through third gears in motion, up to 180km and 540i has no cockpit-km to 280 km.

  • only the early 540ia got E,S & W.

    With the new gearbox from -95 it only got A & W, and A stands for Advance, not adaptive.

  • It might stand for "economic" as the shifting program for the automatic transmission.
