@ESHIZZAL isn't redmire - as far as I'm aware chris stopped fishing there the season after he caught his record fish and only went back once, in 1989, to film an episode of a passion for angling.
i think its his passion and respect for the fish wild life and enviroment that is inspiring! a true legend in every sence of the word! would really like to meet the guy and talk all things fishing! my hope is i can catch half as many fish as this great angler!
I think everyone should watch Chris Yates and keep the passion going and remember the basics and the true skills of fishing, It was the passion I got from watching Chris that was one of the reasons I setup Carpquarry France he can come and fish it anytime he likes
A passion for angling is one of the best programmes ive ever seen fishing wise and ive seen ALOT (far to many my wife says) but i think not enough lol. Its just a lovely insight into how fishing isnt just big fish and isnt always just fish at all, its seeing things like at 4 am on a summers morning that everyone else may never have seen, its peace, its wild, its nature etc the list goes on and Chris is one of the only anglers that realy expresses that. Anyway of to watch some more :o)
Yup you are correct you do not just say its a record and get away with it which exactly what chirs yates did. It wasnt ever verified to be the weight he said and was never officially proved to be and i think in his own way although very stupid sounding, Jonesyovjarra was trying to say that. I will say though having caught over 20 30lb carp now from 30lb 8 to 37lb 11 chris yates is far far more than 30lb looking. I love chris yates his view and attitude is fantastic and always has been. 5*s Vid
It was actually verified. He has 3 friends with him when he weighed the fish. And he kept in in a keep net for an official to come and inspect it. You dont think people get into the guinness world records without proof. Also, I have to stick up for him as hes my dad.
i think chris yates fooled every 1 saying the fish he court from redmire pool was a british record 51 lb 8 ounce it dose not look 30 pound he is a FAKE
