  • no masters, no gurus, no leaders, no disciples, just people warm and chill, with a free spirit

  • jesus is our savior lol,say that to satanic people, they go crazy

  • cool can you teach me! :D plz

  • @mohcinebouhya unfortunately no...I"m not a wiccan, nor am I a witch. my knowledge of witchcraft is very limited and not to a point to teach others or take on students. best I can do is recommend some reading to you and websites if you would like.

  • @BlazeLeeDragon that would be great thanks alot!

  • relax

  • Is this real? O.O

  • @ZebraGomez is what real? the video? yes...as is the topic I am speaking of

  • @BlazeLeeDragon THANK YOU! For posting this video. I have been trying to explain the difference for years. Once I explain, they get it like a light bulb coming on but it amazes me how many people haven't done the proper research to see the distinction between the two.

  • When i was firsrt initiated (a long long time ago now) every single British wiccan would call themself witch and very often pagan to as there where very few alternatives pagan groups.

by the way a Warlock is a knot in a piece of string

  • @apclericus That is because, Wicca was created by someone who as researching witchcraft, it was simular so some just assumed it was a simular version of the same thing...not all called themselves wiccans, and most do not, I have know many witches some being 60+ years of age who have nothing to do with wicca and think it's silly...as for warlock...I'll send you a few websites resources...this is not to mention all the book or people resources...

  • excuse me but you are talking through your arse...my high priest was Alexandrian my high priestess Gardenerian (not that there is a vast difference) and when you are initiated into either tradition you are initiated as priest/ess and witch........just because the USA has decided to make a destinction dosn't mean that its the case...The Word Witch comes from the anglo saxon Wicca (male) Wicce (female) Wiccan (collective).

  • excellent explanation but a clarification on "warlock" might have been a nice addition

  • @Ravager669 clarification? what would you like to know? I could always do a video dedicated to Warlock in the future or you can PM me and we can discuss it.

  • @Ravager669 the term "warlock" is not used because it is considered an insult to male witches

  • @elementmaster100 I didn't say it was...I said it is an insult, not used because it is. a Warlock is an "oath breaker" it's an insult to honor.

  • @BlazeLeeDragon it's like calling a Samurai, Ronin

  • @BlazeLeeDragon i never said you said it was ?

  • 30s, actually. Not strictly 50s.

  • @PtFurious I'm sure it was a work in progress for many years. However to what I understand it was "considered" public, in the 50s.

  • Are you in Black Sabbeth?

  • Very well put.... there is only one witch in my family on my father's side every generation, I am it. My mother's family contains many closet witches only on the women's side. I am not ashamed of who I am or what I do and I am grateful for the gift that have been bestowed upon me..... Thank you for such an honest video

  • @briancopeland77 thats cool my cousin (whos 20) is a witch ive like witches a bt more than wickens though i know wickens are more conected to te earth tats why i admre them but im taking after my cousen

  • You did a wonderful job with your explaination! Am I allowed to say that you are also very handsome :)

  • @elisatolle111 thank you, I am glad you enjoyed my explaination. and yes you most certainly are, I do enjoy the earn every so often :)

  • hi my friend,i have posted comments on your others videos, which i am greatful for and thank you for your time to post them.I do want to ask you, what specific books or internet articles i can read about the subject you have talked about here in your video, concerning the distinction between wicca and witchcraft. i am sure there are videos onhere as well but since i do not have time during the week i perfer to read up on it more

thank you and i do enjoy your videos. May you Blessed Be my friend

  • @hanno21664 Yes I tried to click your profile to PM you and there is no option for private messages. I don't know if this is your settings or because it's been so long. However my sources include numerous websites, others individuals, listen to lectures, going to gatherings, and reading books.

  • @hanno21664 greetings :) to many to name but I can at least point you to some online resources. it's not letting me post the links :S if you have a place I can send them I'd be happy to send them to you. but it's all over the internet.

  • hi, this is new to me. I have been studying wicca for about a year now. I always thought of myself as a witch, but call myself wiccan cause so many people think a witch is evil which I know isnt always the case. But I need to learn more. But I dont know how. THe belief I have in it, whether it is witchcraft or wiccan has been tipsy b/c I have been doing on my absolute own.

  • Look I have been studying all my life my mom raised me as a neo pagan/Wicca beliefs. Wicca is the old religion modified to modern times. The actual beliefs are stemmed from ancient traditions. That being said think of all religions that have been modernized but as still considered old, example certain branches of Christianity and Buddhism. They are based on old traditions but are modernized for modern day people.

  • @H2oJames93 and your point? I've said this for example at 1:20...I never once said it's not based on older beliefs. What I said was the religion it's self is A) not ancient, and B) not witchcraft. Most of the greatest faiths have changed with the years. They don't remain stale and stagnet. As you mentioned Buddhism as well as Hinduism and many many others. many of the old religions are still modifying themselves. Wicca has a tendicy to claim everything and many but not all of it'

  • @BlazeLeeDragon but not all of it's followers will make claims of other faiths. Now it's good to mix and match, but when you start claiming I find it to be annoying. Many have taken so much from witchcraft that the two get confused...thus this video

  • @BlazeLeeDragon Wicca is the practices of one of the first covens to come out of the broom closet(so to speak) by which Gerald Gardner was brought into. Wicca is that covens practices(at least in Garndnerian). Which is what they have been practicing as far as that coven can remember. Making a interpretation of the old religion, making is a form of the old religion

  • then what about voodo

  • Actually Wicca was a term that was created by Gardener. The actual religion is older, it's just the term Wicca is newer. Wicca is based off older pagan religions and Gardener and Alexander had changed some things and added some things.

  • know I know the difference. Ty.

  • @SuperSpiritDove Hi It's just to bad that you can't place fantasy in your reality...

  • Nice and calm explanation, more people should be aware of.

  • @SuperSpiritDove I can see that, I think it's the way each person interprets wicca, I myself do not practice wicca and find there is a great aray of faiths to look into. you will find most who are drawn to these faiths are also drawn to what others consider fantasy. so in a sense they make there fantasy reality.

  • Question what magic is real..cuz all these shows like charmed and stuff like that I believe is a bit too much and not real. Just a thought.

  • @RENNE1ROBERTS that would be a long converstion send me a PM and we'll go over it but your right stuff like charmed and stuff is over dramatized movie stuff

  • @megaheadercrusher no .many people believe that magic is evil but wether it's evil or good depends on the person

  • he is right

  • Great Blaze! I'm utterly interested in this.

  • Does both of 'em have any connection to Satanism?

  • @Megaheadcrusher none at all :)

  • @BlazeLeeDragon Is that sarcasm?

  • @gameaddition is what sarcasm?

  • I think this is one of the ONLY videos I have seen that actually has (mostly) correct information in it. Thank you!!

The only thing I want to mention is that you left out that not all practitioners of Witchcraft are involved in covens. The same goes for Wiccans.

  • thank you so much. this was the first video that i saw about wicca and the like. i watched because i have a freind that is wiccan and i chose to fallow the path of the wiccan religion because it made the most sense to me. i was pentacostal, catholic, athiest, then lost. and in the last few months, i have accepted the wiccan religion into my life. as soon as i can, i will be doing a devonation ritual with my freinds in the coven at my school. turns out, there are more wiccan teens than i thought.

  • Someone that actually has half a clue. I am sooo relieved after that last vid I watched.

  • you are hot

  • @thefoxymiko he looks kinda like Johnathan Davis xD

  • @satinis you are right0.0

  • @thefoxymiko hehehe

  • @thefoxymiko thank you :)

  • Wicca is actually an ancient religion but came back around again in the 1950's.

  • @myamarlow sorry but incorrect...if you honestly think so, where is the evidence? The word Wicca is based off of, is wica an angelo saxon word, the angelo saxon where around from 550 CE to 1066 CE and the word wica was not in reference to there religion.

  • @BlazeLeeDragon it is correct because when the Roman Catholic church was starting, there were Pagan/Wiccans that they were trying to convince them to convert or they would be punished that is why the Christians and the Roman Catholics have the holidays etc that they do because they wanted everyone to be on their side regardless of how those people felt or what they believed, That is why you'll find that many of them either converted or held secret meetings of their own.

  • @BlazeLeeDragon Indeed they were Norse Pagan for the most part, with a few Aryan Christians. They feared and respected witches, but it was still seen as a fringe thing. Old wise women. To Romans witches were always evil, and that's where the prejudice comes from.

  • @BlazeLeeDragon Gerald Gardner, who at the time called it the "witch cult" and "witchcraft", and its adherents "the Wica".[2] From the 1960s onward, the name of the religion was normalised to "Wicca".[3]

  • @heroslyfe Enoch 7: 1 And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms 2 and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. And they 3 became pregnant, and they bare great giants

  • @BlazeLeeDragon Wicca/Witchcraft=CRAFT, or MAGICK of the WATCHERS. Book of Enoch6:5 Then sware they all together and bound themselves (a coven)6 by mutual imprecations upon it. They were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mt Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn . When they left heaven, they brought the ‘secrets of heaven’ with them teaching those secrets to earth women. Mankind was not meant to know those secrets.

  • @myamarlow Wicca is actually a modern, very active, form of Neopaganism. Which by the way is heavily based, or is, by some belief, off of the Old Faith, which came before everything else.

  • This video is a great teaching video. To see other videos like his visit my page.

  • "This will lead you to darkness that even the sun cannot shine through". St. Therese of Avila

  • can you teach me how to perform magic?

  • So what you are saying is not even Wicca knows what the hell Wicca is! LOL

  • infinite orgasm loving kindness prayer spell

  • wicca wicca witch bitch.

  • This is the second time I've watched this video! and I've passed it along to a lot of my friends too =P

  • I have no idea how I havent stumbled across this video before but thank you. I have been trying to find a definition for what I am for years. Being a solitary witch from KY, books can only teach you so much, and I cant seem to fit myself into all these categories of eclectic, wiccan, blah, whatever else has spun out of it.So now I know I am a witch, I practice witchcraft, I suspected but everyone always made it some religious thing. I love my magic but its more of a tool than a religion for me

  • I grow sick of people who constantly knock on my door, telling me to follow their ways because their religion is better than anyother one! WHy can't we all just live in harmony with eachother and accept eachother's beliefes? We may not agree with it, but couldn't we atleast stay away from eachother and try not to convert one another, I think that would be better. It would atleast stop all these terrible wars from happening. By the way, I am a fellow wiccan and it is a beautiful art!

  • It annoys me when Wiccans say that Wicca and witchcraft are not the same thing, because based on many sources, Wicca and Witchcraft are so intertwined, it's hard to distinguish the two.

  • @Justinfh2point0 there is a big difference and it's as easy as saying the difference between Tai Chi and Taoism...

  • @Justinfh2point0 I think that is why he clarified it. Did you actually watch the video? And are your sources just people? or books and literature? I agree with blaze, Witchcraft is the magic/energy projection itself and Wicca is the religion. it's pretty simple if you actually know what you're talking about.

  • @ThisB1tch13 pretty much :D and @Justinfh2point0 I'm not Wiccan!

  • Everything is fabricated.

  • Thank you for making this video.

  • @Godworshiper7 I wanna slap you so hard...You have no idea what your talking about..so why come on youtube a search this topic? Do you like looking like an ignorant asshole? Sorry Blaze but that guy just cooked my goose..

  • Hey Blaze! I am another non Wiccan who is a witch and I think you put it brilliantly, great vid & I look forward to hearing more from you me dear :-)

  • Thank you! I always wondered about the difference. I knew that Wicca was more nature based and that witchcraft was more so using your inner guide through the more magical things in life. Great video!

  • Great Vid! I am a witch, not wiccan. Many cultures have witches, mostly seen as wise women outside of normal society. I dabble with herbs and healing, not magik, per se. Only becuase I have no clue what I am doing (with energy) and may do harm or allow the wrong spirit in. And I am tired of judgmental wiccans telling my you must do/believe XYZ. Sorry, but you are just as bad as the followers of christ then...you know

  • @Cjaz84 I do and I completely understand :D one of many reasons for this video :D

  • very good video, someone who knows what their talking about. it gets annoying, i call myself wiccan but people get confused because i tell them i dont practise magik, i have done before and probably will do again but thats not why i became wiccan, if it was i would call myself witch. i must show this vid to some friends who are getting into wicca because its ancient, pre-christian. they dont listen to me when i say its modern... maybe they will listen to you?

  • @sparkingtonstanly one can only hope...

  • I have noticed you had not made a video in awhile but I subscribed anyway to show I agree with your perspectives and to encourage you to continue to make videos on the Craft. As well as to support your beliefs. I am not Wiccan, I am a Witch. I do practice the old Ways as best I can and which were taught to me from my grand parents who migrated from Ireland and England. Thank you for helping to clear up the differences.

  • @iagrl ah indeed, it has been sometime. I'm sure I'll get around to more sooner or later :) thank you for your interest and no problem. the difference seems to not be known with the wiccan movement...I'm not saying wicca is "bad" but it's becoming more of a fad for many, and most don't have anything on history of what's what....

  • I'm not Wiccan but I am a witch who practices witchcraft. Well said as always. :)

  • The practice of witchcraft and the religion of being Wiccan is often confused with satanism

  • You are a very beautiful man. Keep making videos. I loved this one so I am subscribing to you. Blessed be to you! xoxo

  • I just love these americans who are into "ancient faiths". Trust me, the "real witchcraft" is a faith and is alive in Europe....has been for a few thousand years despite the persecutions of the 17th century. Wicca is new, mostly made up, along the right lines...but the "ceremonies" are not old at all. Good luck with it though, but witchcraft in it's real sense is a closed shop, surviving in the UK and still very much alive.

  • @ScrotyMcDickface exactly and many don't know this or believe it. that at many people have ancestors in the east and feel drawn to old paths. You must realize all those that try to pieace back together what little that have is because that is ALL they have...

  • @BlazeLeeDragon Here's something to say, if you're looking for power you won't find it in Wicca or Witchcraft.

There are much better systems of Magick that are 100x more powerful than Wicca and Witchcraft.

If we had a Solomonic Magician or Chaos Magician against a Wiccan or a Witch, the Magician would win.

  • @ScrotyMcDickface at the end of the day we are all cousins to one another. Pagan, Wiccan or Witches, we can be placed in the same band wagon as we borrow and share our magics, and wisdom.

  • YOUR WOW! THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY... WOW!

  • I am glad someone explained this. I have tried to teach people that I use magick but I am not a wiccan. I mostly use crystals.

  • You know what's funny? My Native American Senses tells me that I am being challenged by a great number of people who practice voodoo. But, what they're going to learn is that NAM is way more powerful. Before I realized my powers, they could hurt me sometimes; however, now I know where I stand, and, objectively, without hate, I can take on any of them! But, be warned, from now on, the price for challenging me is .....! well, I can't type that, but they will see!

  • Thank you for this enlightening video. I am Wiccan and yes, I do practice Witchcraft, but I practiced it long before I ever chose the Wiccan path. My blessings for you and your loved ones and may your path be filled with love and empowerment!

  • Magick is Magick...Witchcraft is the intention of the Magick one's wish to practice...Wiccan is a belief system of traditions of how one should live while practicinng magick on their magickal journey...You can be of any religion or not of any belief system and still practice witchcraft -cause like I stated before Magick is all based on the intentions of the person practicing Magick...btw!)o(

  • @PAGANGRL69 VERY WELL SAID :)

  • @PAGANGRL69 so you can be a total die hard christian and practice witchcraft? just curious

  • @BeckEhster no...because witchcraft is viewed as unacceptable by most christians...

  • @BlazeLeeDragon i don't see why. then again i don't know much about witchcraft so

  • @BeckEhster because witchcraft teaches you to be responsible for your own actions and to realize the universe...where christianity teaches you to fear and respect god above all and that you pray to him and dont' take responsibility.

  • @BlazeLeeDragon Actually that is false. Christianity teaches that you Respect God and know that He is God. "fear" in this case means Respect. see most other religous practices want to be there own boss. They dont want to have to turn to someone else. but my God is a Living God. Im sorry, but you complain about how others get your beleifs wrong, but you people dont know anything about Christianity. Try not to speak until you know what your talking about. You really need to get your facts straight

  • @Godsworshiper7 I spent 8 years as a child until the age of 13 in CCD classes learning about Roman Catholicism. So your claim that "you" people don't know anything about Christiany would be inaccurate. Fear was taught, fear of the, devil, fear of Satan, you sin your own your own. That is a very harsh way of putting it, but there is always great consequences for sinners. As far as your own boss? perhaps that is one way to view it, but ultimately it is about being held accountable for your

  • @Godsworshiper7 actions. the gods are there to guide us, but like parents we must learn to walk on our own. As for your comment for others not getting my beliefs? I don't really share much of what I believe or practice. I am no wiccan nor am I a witch, nor am I christian. I am share my studies and ideas, since all life is based on interpretation and perception. now as to the comment I was commenting on. As a Christian is it ok to practice witchcraft? why or why not?

  • @BlazeLeeDragon First off, There is and always will be, only one true God. All those other false gods, are merely just demons playing dress up, claiming to be something they are not. Second, you were taught fear, at a catholic school. This is one fact that people cant seem to get straight. Catholicism is not the same as Christianity. I am a Christian, not Baptist, not catholic, Christian (non-denominational) there is a huge difference. And we learn how to grow our relationship with God. you see,

  • @BlazeLeeDragon God doesnt want you to be afraid of Him because of what He can do, but He wants you to love Him for who He is. He wants a relationship with us. God is my father, my friend and my creator. He is not a crutch, to help me get through life, He is my source of life. third, as far as, when you sin your on your own, that is completely and utterly false. You are never on your own. when you sin (fall), you always have people there who have been through or are going through the same thing.

  • @BlazeLeeDragon every day, to not fall, but that doesnt mean you never will. You will fall every now and again, but God will always be there to pick you back up. He is there to lead us and guide us, and most of all, carry us. He sent His son, His only son, to die for us so that we could be with Him forever face to face, there is no greater love than this. And nothing can compare to it. Fourth, as far as witchcraft, it is a very dangerous thing to get into, and not worth it. yea, for some its

  • @BlazeLeeDragon just a cool hobby, but it is very real, and very dark. there are never any good spirits in this. only bad ones, which are demons, not angels. you cant actually talk to the dead... if you use a quija board to talk to someone, it is always gonna be a demon. they use you as their toys. they dont care about your health or well being. all they want is control, and the moment you give them that, you've completely lost the game. demons are there to mess you up in life, they are the

  • @BlazeLeeDragon reasons why we sin. but God is the only way out. your either with Him, or against Him. :/

  • Comment removed

  • @BeckEhster

Yes...You could be of any religion and practice witchcraft if you wanted too..Most christians or of other faiths would not do so cause it goes against their religious beliefs...But anyone can choose what they want to do on their own spiritual journey's...Magick is about the person's intentions not their religious preference or label that they follow...Anyone could choose to practice Magick but not all do cause it's considered bad/evil based upon religious belief of rhetoric...btw!

  • wicca is a religion. witchcraft is a practice. simplicity.

  • @theblackcreekmermaid Well, I think it should be stated that Wicca is a religion and a way of life, and Witchcraft is also (though not recognized as a religion in the US).

  • @celticbattleaxe witchcraft is not a religion that's half the point I'm trying to make it's a path, a magical prctice that can go with most religions.

  • @BlazeLeeDragon Well, it may not be a recognized religion within the US, but I think it should.

  • What if, as it is in my case, the believe in wicca/witchcraft isn't passed trough by family, is it then, that i can decide for myself what i find good to believe. Because, i do believe in wicca/witchcraft. But i'm all alone in this, and there are so many story's, that i really don't know what to believe. Up till now i only did what felt good for me.

  • @RadioactiveRaven That is the right to do it , do what feels good to you , trust your instints and you will find your one path, mentaly ask the goodess for guidance and, as time goes by you will see it will become more clear to you what story's you should belive in , blessed be.

  • good explanation

  • I have often said...I DONT practice "feel good" Wicca.....I practice Witchcraft.....I am multi-generational from Pict England to Old Germania....I learned from Mum and Gram...It was passed down....Wiccans say there is NO devil in the Craft?? But why do the practice defensive Craft?? Hmmmmmmm......GOOD TOPIC!!

  • Christine O'Donnell is not a witch!

    lol

Seriously though...why bother with this wicca nonsense? Is it just something that makes you feel good?

Something that makes you feel like a part of a group?

I don't get it. Can someone please explain why wicca is practiced?

  • @Zentz29 not a clue why people practice wicca. I'm sure each Wiccan has there own reason and it's the same reason anyone practices any religion. To connect with the divine and find one's self.

  • @Zentz29 cus it is a religion like anyother

  • @Zentz29 Why do people go to church and pray to their god?

  • @Duskcoil That's another good question.

Both groups are basically doing the same thing. Looking for some greater purpose in life I suppose. I don't know why people can't be happy creating their own purpose...

  • @Zentz29 According to what I read, that IS what Wicca is about.

It's not about following a set rules or doing the same as the others.

It's about doing what you feel is good, what makes you feel good, what connects you to the beyond.

Altars are usually things that make YOU feel good, not random objects that hold no meaning to you.

I believe the problem with creating your own purpose is that it might not always be a "good" thing. Serial Killers, Rapists, for example.

    It's about being positive.

  • @Duskcoil Well actually, that's what everyone does wether they realize it or not. Everyone goes through giving their lives purpose by what ever means they feel. Some use gods, others use magic etc...

My point was more that I don't get why people choose all these "magical" ways(like "the beyond")to give purpose to their lives.

As far as I can tell, we all get one life. It seems like a bit of a waste to live it worshiping a god, worrying about getting touch with "the beyond" etc.

    Just my opnion

  • @Zentz29 Well it's like why limit yourself to just a physical life? if there's more knowledge than can be obtained in "This World" wouldn't you travel to another to find out more if you feel it'll make you a stronger, smarter, or all around better person?

I think it has more to do with that, reaching out far beyond normal reaches to find what it is you're looking for. Not everyone has to look that far, but I think that is why those that do, do.

  • @Zentz29 I believe it's because they do not wish to limit themselves to just a physical life. If there is a world beyond this one, they most likely believe it is one they can reach after death, and it is one that goes on forever.

It's like using their physical life, which is only so many years old, to prepare themselves for their "eternal" life.

Or maybe there is knowledge that can only be obtained by going to the other side, and that knowledge is worth reaching out to.

    There are many reasons

  • Why do people still waste their time arguing about religion? There is really no point. Wasted energy, truly.

  • I really appreciate this

  • this video is very helpful for someone who is just now wanting to learn about them

  • Very well said :) thank you for sharing!!

  • @Blaze: Have you noticed that Wicca is an abbreviation of Witchcraft?

WItChCrAft. One in the same. I do agree with your video statements too.

  • @StormKat30

They are not one in the same. Wicca is a 20th century modern religion popularized by Gerald Gardner (one that increasingly suffers new-agey feelgood psychobabble, I'll add), and witchcraft - as most know it - is a generalized term for much older various northern european nature magic practices. If you get around to reading now-rare witchcraft books from the 1970's & earlier, you'll know the difference I'm speaking of immediately.

  • Good video, but "pacific" is an ocean. "Specific" means unique from everything else. ;)

  • Thank you for posting this. It helped a lot of people, myself included! :)

  • Very well said.

  • I love this video! I saw it a while back, and re-watched it today. I agree - 100%!

  • what ever makes you important

  • Thank you for posting this! It helped me on my speech on the Wiccan Religion last year in Speech Class! :)
