  • Here is a music video of a band that recently featured the ROLAND Lucina AX-09 in their music video. The singer does a great solo and ending with it.

Paste this phrase in the search box:

"Nothing To Say" music video by Official Version

  • I have mine, but it's a pitty in Brasil it's so expensive! However, I'm glad for having it!

  • Give one of these to Van Halen

  • Does it work well as a Traditional Synth (on top of a table/desk). seems like a really nice synth. how well does the vellocity sensitivity work?

  • Someone could make some awesome dubstep with that.

  • my dad just bought me one

  • Is that a song @ 1:50?

  • Thats looks beautiful, I was tempted to get one when it was white but now i seen it shining black! I fell in love with it!

  • i came here cuz i accidentally clicked on keyboards at guitarcenter, com and i saw this and had to check it out and now i want one!!!!!

  • is it velocity sensitive?

  • Do you think there is any way I could get the pack of those AX-09 presets for a Sh-201?

I really like the crisp, newer sounds on that, I'd love to freshen up a SH-201 with those sound presets.

  • Could I plug a guitar pedal into this?

  • Nice keytar.

  • so , it comes with sounds ? so is not just a controller???

  • @keitellll Yeah it comes with built-in sounds!

  • only 3octave with cool sound effects.,nice dude! \m/

  • i know its has built in sounds but does still have a midi controller

  • Can You please tell me what's the differеnce between lucina white and lucina black sparkle?? it's only color or has some other differences?? Thanks a loot see ya

  • @igorcesax The only differences are:

    (a) the color

    (b) black came out later

    (c) 100 dollars

  • What's the keyboard in the background?

  • @atthecross12three it's roland sh-01 (aka GAIA)

  • notice there are no dislikes on this video. its because THIS INSTRUMENT IS FUCKING AMAZING!!!!! XD

  • I realy realy want one!!!! so bad it cost R$ 2,200 here in brasil, (US$ 1500)

  • What is the song in 1:49 ?

  • thanks great video can you tell what is better "lucina ax-09" or "juno di"?

  • What are the differences between the lucina and the synth besides the looks and size. Like are there new sounds and a drum machine or is there extra functions that the synth doesn't have?

  • His skill make the synth sound more good

  • Wow! That thing sounds great! Great demo!

  • i just died D,: i want it so bad but i just can't afford it.

  • This might be a dumb question, but are there keytars (by Roland hopefully) with more than 3 Octaves? The black definitely looks less chessy then the white cover - it looks too retro-plastic for my band lol. I saw this model and am just wondering whether it is the one for me. My other question was "can this replace a bass guitar if need be" which you already answered. Looks awesome!

    Great demo,

    Thanks

    Ashwin

  • Would this be the higher end unit for Roland?

  • C'est Super Lucina noir de Roland, encore bravo pour la démo de la part de Didier de la Belgique en Europe.

  • Nice Keytar :-)

  • does this keytar have an arpeggiator or a sequencer?

  • Amazing! $600 and I can't wait to get one!

  • Very good demo !

  • This Keytar looks awesome , Really Love the sound you are demonstrating

  • Is this hard to play or the same as playing a regular keyboard?

  • i've been playing the piano since i was 6.. but i've never played it this way.. is it a lot harder?? i'm thinking about buying one.. i wanna be a unique keyboard player.. hahaha

  • you're a great keyboard player!

  • I've got a question. Does AX-09 have it's own sound module? Or is it necessary to connect it?

  • is the ax synth better than the lucina, i haven't got the chance to play neither of these but i want to buy one so which would you recommend

  • Wow!! been going to Jam nights and ONLY guitarists getting up, so I'm gonna get me one of these then start jamming as I'm too old to learn guitar and didn't want to carry around my 88 key roland piano. great product this genre is going to take off big time I think.

  • I'm a GUITARIST who hasn't played Piano in years, and I want one.

Does it come with its own synth like the AX-Synth (which I guess is the AX-08?) or is it just a controller like the AX-07? did the AX-01 through AX-07 have their own names like the Synth and Lucina?

  • sold. I'm in love with this thing and have not even touched one yet

  • @Kraryx Me too. I'd love to have one of the big ones...but these smaller Lucina ones would DEFINATELY get the job done. And theyre a lot less awkward to carry around.

  • How do you safely play the Lucina with two hands while on the shoulder strap? Is it to do with how you're using the secondary strap mount point?

  • @hyphz There’s no real technique to it. I’ve never been worried about the Lucina disconnecting from the strap and falling. As for the strap peg on the back of the Lucina, it’s a comfort thing. Personally, it’s more comfortable for me to use the strap peg on the back than the one on the end by the mod bar controllers.

If anyone is worried about the strap disconnecting they could always purchase and use a pair of good old strap locks, the inexpensive plastic strap locks work perfectly.

  • This is the most epic thing ever, next to the Clavinet

  • what are the biggest differences between this and the ax-synth?

  • heey can I know what the song called at 1:32 you responded

    send a message back

  • @dylo101 All the songs that I play through the whole video (other than the Bridal March on the Pipe Organ) are my own improvisations and compositions.

  • Hey, just curious...is that headset he has on the Roland DR-HS5?

  • @DrumPatternz Yes, that is a Roland DR-HS5 Headset Microphone.

  • Is there any big difference between the black and the white versions, apart from the color? Because from what I've seen there's a 100$ difference on price between the white one and the black one.

Also, how well does this synthesizer work with pedal effects (like distortion, wah, all that)?

  • @VocalDomain The only difference between the white and black sparkle Lucina is the colour. The price is different due to special sparkle paint job and the glossy nature of the finish. Pricing will also differ depending on the price set by your local Roland dealer. Regarding effects pedals with the Lucina - the sky is your limit! Let your imagination go wild. Use any type of pedal that you want - there are no rules!

  • @rolandcanadaltd Thanks for the answer! I've had a look on both finishings and sure the black sparkle does worth the price difference!

  • This player really convinced me that the AX is a great buy! :D

  • Without a doubt the best and to-the-point Lucina video on youtube! Thanks for this.

I sincerely hopefully you'll find the time to post another video with more sounds, thats what the other videos are lacking! Thumbs up from Norway!

  • @NuclearDanceScene Absolutely. The Lucina can be used as a USB MIDI controller for software on your Mac or Windows based computer. Moreover, the Lucina can be used to control any external MIDI instruments or modules with its standard MIDI Output. Don’t forget though . . . the Lucina has its own built in sounds based on the acclaimed Roland Fantom-G engine. You may just find yourself sticking to the Lucina sounds – they sound fantastic!

  • Can you confirm that there is a built in metronome. I read the manual and it refers to a count in/metronome. I'm hoping you can verify that as you practice scales for example that you can practice to a metronome. It's just not 100% clear to me after reading the manual.

    Thanks

  • @AcousticBuckeye Yes, the Lucina has a standard metronome that can be set to many different time signatures. To clarify, the “Count In” feature plays one measure of the metronome sound, at the set time signature and tempo, to count you into a song that you are performing or learning.

  • Hi

Anyone can clarify How to operate with mp3 player on this keyboard? is there any

screen there? how to select songs how to see name of the mp3?

    i.m.h.o. it's very important

  • @NizamiShikhmammadov You can download the Lucina Owner’s Manual from the Roland website. The Audio Player features are explained on pages 16 and 17. By referencing these pages, you can see that while holding the [AUDIO PLAYER] button you can press the [INC]/[DEC] buttons to select the desired song. The Lucina displays the first three characters of the file name, which enables you to select the correct song.

  • @rolandcanadaltd thanks it was very important i neeeded information

so ..BEING now in Baron resort as a musician Egypt.i will wait when Lucina will reach Cairo branch

    regards nicky

  • How did you hook up/ record your audio for the Lucina?

  • @iKeyboard15 I recorded the audio from the Lucina and my microphone to a Roland VS-100, which has the ability to record audio directly to an SD or SDHC card without the need for a computer. I replaced the audio from the camera with the audio recorded from the VS-100. No processing was done to the audio. What you hear is all from the Lucina.

  • Very nice video mate, just one question: can the lucina be used as a keyboard controller to record in a studio by connecting to the computer or soundcard via USB?

  • @greendudegp Absolutely. Lucina has a USB connector, allowing it be a MIDI controller for your computer. Moreover, Lucina has a MIDI Output, allowing it to be used as a MIDI controller for any external MIDI devices or instruments.

  • great demonstration...now if i only had ur skills!

  • Hi!, please tell me something: can i choose between mp3 wav and midi files in the same usb stick?, i mean, can i play the audio files in any order?, can i load many audio files in a single usb stick? (between mp3 wav and midi) and does roland lucina read them?, how many audio files can i have in the same usb stick?, thanks.

  • @HECTORTRUKE Hi! We've sent you a message with the answer to your questions.

    Thanks!

  • Is there any way i can put two sounds at once on this keyboard like the left half is a Pad and the right half is a piano?

  • @TrueDragonForceFan10

Hi! We've sent you a message with the answer to your question.

    Thanks!

  • Awesome vid men, really great. you just got me to buy one of those, best roland video on lucina.

  • How much do these usually cost?

  • @edbobproductions We have you a private message with the info you are looking for.

  • Can you use it as a midi controller witha computer or another synth?

  • @SilentSynth Yes, the Lucina can be used as a MIDI Controller to control external MIDI devices or instruments. There is a standard MIDI Output as well as a USB MIDI Output.

  • How does having 37 keys make a difference in playing solos?

PS- Can you demonstrate some more synth sounds? not alot! just a little!

  • @iKeyboard15 Having 37 keys doesn’t really make much difference in performing solos, especially since you have the “Octave Up/Down” buttons so easily accessible. The 37-key keyboard allows Lucina to be very compact and light, without sacrificing the instruments playability. If you find yourself aching for more control, flexibility, and keys, check out the AX-Synth!

  • do you have to plug it in to an amp or does it have its own speakers

  • @soroland1 The Lucina AX-09 does not have built-in speakers. You can plug it into an amplifier or practice using headphones.

  • @rolandcanadaltd so you must have a amplifier or headphones to hear the sounds

  • @rolandcanadaltd what type of amp? Does it come with a cord to plug it in? Would a regular guitar amp do?

  • @Chiyamaka Hi Chiyamaka, a response has been sent to your inbox. Thanks for your interest in the Lucina!

  • Best Lucina video this far... all the rolands own video are either bad quality or just so big fail (all those children dancing all around). This shows the true quality of sound of this thing and also shows the Black Sparkle in the true light... and WOW it is looking so COOL! :P
