@olgaa30 depends. the EJ207(or was it 205?) is more rev happy, but has a narrower power band than the EJ257. the EJ257 has more low end torque. as far as reliability goes, they are bulletproof until you are forcing them to make 500+ HP.

The only benefits of the 20 are the forged internals.

The only benefit in the ENGINE are the forged internals. The turbo is a twin scroll, but otherwise I'll take the extra 500cc and add in forged pistons and a twinscroll myself and have a better engine.

@renns944 the ej207 comes with froged internals and accvs or w/e subaru calls it. it helps build boost a bit. also more free flowing. not really a better or worse. just different. not such a low powerband either. that 3-6 is very very practical but 4.5-8 or 9 is more fun....IMO
