I love people who do "simple" poker math. As it turns out if he put Tuff_fish on top pair then he did have a 67% chance to improving past Tens. Slightly less to win since he was drawing to neither the nut flush and Tuff_Fish could have held a higher second card, which in fact he did.
By your Gorilla math AJ, he would have had a 77% chance of improving if we added the additional non flush outs. But you keep doing that simple poker math, and I'll see you at the tables.

Just divide 48 by 26 and you ll get 0.55 ish.. Or you could also do it like this , 48/26 = 1.9 ish..that means your odds are 1 to 1.9 , meaning you will win the hand 1 time out of 1.9 times so those are great odds.
oo and another helpful way that works post flop is the 2 and 4 rule its not exact. To work out the chances of hitting ur outs for the turn and river times by 4 and for just the river times the number of outs by 2 (of course these are what u consider to be winning outs)

id love to have money to play high stakes, and tuff fish, all in with top pair king kicker your not even favorite to the draw he had, let alone two pair or trips, very bad all in call and raise. but that two sets is cold deck though

Tuff fish made the good read on empire, he had the flush draw and wanted to bluff Tuff Fish out of the pot. Secondly Tuff Fish caught a set, nothing he could do about it, although I think he overplayed his pocket 9s preflop a little

rdmr2k, i wasnt talking about tuff fish playing on the play money tables, i was saying that i played against empiremaker2 on play money once, and i took about 400000 off him.
and i have played for real money but every time i go all-in on a brilliant hand (normally 2nd nuts) i get beat by an even more brilliant hand (normally the nuts). about 3 days ago i had full house aces up and got beat by four sixes, lost about $100.
