  • Hey, mightymur1. Just checked out the Fayrewether cover. Fuckwether. Lightshow? Go piss up a rope. U admit to helping with that! Ur assistance only served to illuminate the sad fuck's Poundland Phantom mask. The rest of the band stumbled around like car crash victims. one last point,if it was needed, as to how awesome this band were on the night. Look at the crowd. Rooted to the spot in abject horror. Don't EVER endorse shit like this again or we'll come after u with a rope

  • I couldn't leave a "Like" - function unavailable. Maybe because of that or people just don't know how to tell a great song from a bad one.

Absolutely amazing. I advise everyone to hear the cover performed by the german power metal band Helloween (sic).

  • As a girl in Ohio, USA I cleaned the kitchen for two hours every Sat morning. I had the right to listen to FM radio then, and was just thrilled when this song came on to drive me to scrubbing slavery. My bitch mother hated this song, it drove her wild! I now live near Belgium, I got my revenge, and my bitch mother begs me to pay her rent. I should insist she listen to this song again, ha ha!

  • This is some fucking Dad Rock right here

  • @bobobobo568 It'a matter of taste,of which it would appear you are distinctly lacking ?

  • great song, but this video is awful..

  • One to remember, Next was good. The Man in the Jar lives forever.

  • Brings back a lot of good memories, which I'm very glad I lived through. =)

  • I recently remembered what a GREAT track this is... many other great tracks by this band too - much underrated!

  • i grew up on this song.. when i was a young lad it used to scare me.. brilliantly sinister. R.i.p alex!!

  • It is a shame our generation didn't grow up with this amazing music but at least we have recourses to download this music.

  • to vintagezigg , I know what you mean about the tune being a masterpeice, But how effin old are you?? Bands of today? Theres loads of bands do this sort of stuff and more!! Metallica, Black Label Society, Joe Bonamassa, etc etc etc etc. Do your self a favour and don't sound like an old fart, that sthe kind of thing my old man used to say..."..when I was your age...";-/

  • Hard Glam Rock!. A lot of my fav's came from Scotland. Bon Scott, Ian Biarnson( Alan Parsons Project), Nazareth even Rod Stewart can't even think of all of them right now!

Zal is tough on guitar. INTERNATIONALLY UNDERRATED!

  • truly a masterpiece

  • ZAL IS ONE GREAT GUITARIST. THIS IS A GREAT BAND!!!

  • I wish some DJ would put this on in a club today. They wouldn't know what hit them and they'd go mad for it! I had this the first time around but I bet it would go off the scale if it were re released. Put it out just as it is and don't mess with it. Please someone.....

  • never heard of this band...great!!!

  • fuck yes

  • the synth + hihats r very hypnotic

  • this is the original song guys. The one that later Recoil would cover and further make cult music history with. Recoil were one of the members of Nitzer Ebb and Alan Wilder (of Depeche Mode).

  • First heard SAHB live on the old grey whistle test first appearance and on the strength of it bought the album with faith healer and next on. Played faith healer through head phones and it blew my mind try it. One of the few songs best heard on cans. The stereo effect going through your head is mind blowing.

  • RIP Alex, legend

I've got a few SAHB albums here, they had chunky drum sound way before it became en vogue.

  • SENSATIONAL indeed!

    «Bass»sound quality here.

    Nice post.......TAXI !!!

  • Einfach nur ein geniales stück MusiKgeschichte ! ! !

  • @Mcvity this faith healer restored my confidence in music.

  • @Mcvity

You're wrong. Take the time to find the good in the obscure. Though it is mostly independent, be proactive and find what suits you.

  • @newkillergenius

Your right 1stly because ive got a pretty wide range in taste both old and new

    2ndy i think i had a few 2 many when i posted that comment.

    :)

  • This is great. So long since I heard it... I bought a best of in '87 when I was 17, it sounded great then, and it was over 12 years old then... and it sounds as cutting edge now, over 30 years on... I love the Biblical choir coming in... then Alex ruins it all as the dirty old man in the mac! Genius!

  • This is without a doubt a masterpiece ! The best bands today could'nt dream this up.

  • @vintagezigg I know, it would be an impossible deam ;)

  • great old netherland band

SAHB - Greatest Glasgow band EVER.

  • Don't you count ac/dc ore dire straits? These guys are pretty good though - strange how they still tour under that name :S

  • Boabyo

lol...Angus and the Knopfler brothers! Th@'s streching it a bit. "Pretty good", oh yea...and then some, SAHB were no average white band, (don't forget Hamish Stuart!)

I'll be hearing this number ♪♫live♪♫ next Monday. Not so strange they still tour as SAHB. Alex was the 'f☺r[e]man' in perf☺rmance and he'll still be there, in spirit. Spirit being the essence of music. (The man inside my head hopes it's raining when I leave the gig).

    VAMBO R⊙⊙LS OK

  • one of the best songs ever

  • this song is great & the beat is outstanding

  • To good to EAt

  • Man, until just now I thought I was the only guy in the universe that even remembered this song. Very, very, cool. Devastating chorus.

  • "Faith Healer" just as oustandingly brilliant as it was back in 1974, my ultimately fav. piece of rock music of all time. This track (and other SAHB stuff), only paralled by the likes of Led Zep and Queen. Cool video, much appreciated!

  • @dorfrock

  • Magic. Thanks for the video. SAHB used to open with this -- saw them in 1976 supporting The Who. Truly sensational. And timeless.

  • charlton football ground i was there to was lynnyrd skynnyrd there too? zalvation

  • Were you responsible for the lightshow in the late '70

early '80 at Grünspan? Some times your vids look like that!! Maybe we know the same people for example the

bartenders Christine and Beate but never mind your

clips bring up some memorys...great job with MVD-i used the same...cheers!

  • I take it you made the video yourself.I like it.What software did you use?

  • up to March07 I use only the "windows movie maker"

At March 08 (J.J. Cale and following) I use "Magix video plus"

  • uuups, that´s not true...this is a hybrid..with "windowsm.m." and MAGIX.......

  • Nice Job on a Great Song!

    Jan54
