  • @SHEEmusic You ever used Samson, Sennheiser, AKG, Shure, Alesis, Audix, Audio-Technica, Electro-Voice, MXL, Rode, Blue mics? Or Protools, Sonar, GarageBand, Fruity Loops, Cubase, Propellerhead, Apple Logic Studio recording software systems?

  • @SHEEmusic The award-winning studio! This is a terrific setup! Are you sure you never used Samson or Neumann mics or used Sonar?

  • great top 12 i saw krs one, tribe called quest, slick rick, illmatic, 36 chambers and pac off first glance the booth and rest of the stu is damn sexy good luck with everything sista

  • @Jordans03 yeah she sounds just like Mary J

  • nice studio.. u have lots of cool toys

  • Very Cool thumbs up

  • Hardware or Software.

  • Hi SHEE, Wonderful tour, I really admire your settings, thanks for sharring. You open up new horizons for beginners like myself. Cool stuff!

  • Great studio woman; one piece of advice: get a Fender Hotrod Deluxe; you'll thank me later. Don't forget to mic properly.

    Peace.

  • pretty nice...

  • Damn she you rob somebody. love the accent!!! can listen to you all day.

  • Dam alot of stuff

    must use alot of electricity

    but nice studio though

  • great video, nice studio.

  • Wow, I think you're speaking some other language. I wish there were more females like you! :D

  • very nice

  • would you recommend the m1 active 320 usb monitors?

  • Why the heck was everyone's video down one thumb? Stupid haters. Nice vid, I'm still fooling with recording, just got my first electric guitar. I need and external sound card and an SM-57, just, I'm broke from CDs and a trip to Guitar Center. Nice studio/

  • buy an audio interface instead of an external sound card, you wont regret it.

  • I know, but right now I just need a better sound card, when I have 80 bucks or so I'll get the M-Audio thing with Pro Tools LE, but for now, an M-Audio micro.

  • I watched and enjoyed the video

  • it's not the amount of gear you have but the minimum tools that you manipulate, thats hip hop. continue doing your thang you have the gear hope the focus is now on the vocal end of it all at this point.much much much success angel.

  • good taste in music def some of the best #1 is The 2Pac ALL EYEZ ON ME though

  • Very good job on equip description! I envy your studio and your knowledge, you put most people to shame as far as videos. Marry me!)

  • How much was all that?

  • you are so cool.

  • You said the foam was stuck to what? "Valera" I'm doing the same thing. I don't want to take down the property value either....How did you get the foam in the booth?

  • Volara, its a closed cell foam. Neoprene serves the same purpose. I stapled that to the wall (in the four corners), then used the spray glue to stick the foam to that. So when I move, it can easily be torn off and the wall will be back to normal. Best of luck!

  • Thumb tacks work too

  • Definatley feeling your setup . thanks for the vid

  • 'i encourage you to rape, comment'

    lol

  • Fantastic studio

  • for the blue snowball, which setting would be best to record a singing vocals? the first one or the second? thank you

  • flatbush raise your hands

  • You've done a nice job selecting the gear that will deliver the best bang for the buck. Being able to record at home in a comfortable environment is a luxury most don't have. You didn't tear your home up doing it. Nice job, best of luck to you.

  • i had to say....you are a beautiful woman...i love you....nice collection,..you have a pretty voice

  • this studio is awesome, but w/ all that foam in the booth... won't everything sound dead.. u want a lil atmosphere..... thats my opinion.

  • shawty got her record-game on point, and im in love.....PERFECT!!

  • Do you wrap your cables using the "under-over" method?

  • Beautiful and the studio is on point too.

  • Great setup, Looking forward to hear a bunch of projects and sounds coming out of your studio, just a question though, what role does the BR 1200 play in your studio? As you have Tools, Cubase etc

  • i have the blue snowball too! I use that for recording youtube videos because i don't have a recording studio. I want one tho.

  • I hav ALOT of questions i was wondering do u know how to use all those equipment or did u had an asistant help u?also how did u know wat equipment to buy? ive been thinking about making a homestudio someday...But I have like 3% knowledge & experience in recording. do u hav any tips on how to get started? & if you record using intruments(guitar, drums, etc)., do u record the vocals first or it depends?thanks, BTW this video is actually helpful & I like how your studio is personalized.5 STARS!

  • girls can know just as much as guys when it comes to anything

  • Absolutely Awesome!

  • you must have out so much money into that it looks nice!

  • Great video and kick-ass studio setup.

I would also like to see a review of the Alesis M1 Active 320 USBs especially since you have the other larger monitor pairs to compare them to.

  • Any good and bad things about Alesis M1Active?

  • That's a lot of shiznit are you really even that good?

  • damn girl i thought i was a gear junkie im impressed tho.....make a vid using tht mv8000

  • serious setup!!!!

  • Did you learn all this by reading? Either way I'm very impressed. I wish you the best.

  • wtf u must be loaded

  • its nice setup and useful

  • I changed accounts so I just wanted to say that if you want to reply use this account info. As I said in my previous comment, Cool set up! I like that you have so many recording platform options. Will you be doing a video describing how you utilize those options? I also like how you are focused on the creative and fun side of Hip Hop.Keep it up! You are fine, gifted and skilled, a beautiful and rare combination! BTW Drop Juice is Tight! If you want to collaborate let me know!

  • Cool set up! I like that you have so many recording platform options. Will you be doing a video describing how you utilize those options? I also like how you are focused on the creative and fun side of Hip Hop. Keep it up! You are fine, gifted and skilled, a beautiful and rare combination!

  • Nice lab! I'm working on mine.. It's coming along!

  • how long did it take you to collect your gear.

and how much (ball park figure) have you spent

  • It's a great setup. She knows her gear too. But, you don't need anywhere near that much stuff to make great recordings. There's a style called guerrilla recording than can be used to get pro results.

  • an u need to upgrade girl

  • The software would be Protools and Cakewalk all that, right? What does the mixer and firebox do, is it for sound power?

  • why do you have an M-Box and a mixer? I thought you only needed one or the other seeing as they serve the save purpose of providing a place to plug in (audio in). Plz get back to me about this. Btw AWESOME studio!

  • a mixer allows you to plug in many different instruments at once to adjust the volume, EQ, etc. you can then route the mixer into the M-Box interface.

  • yea i figured that out a day after i posted that comment but thanks for the answer anyway ;)

  • I am truly mesmerized!! I am just startin my home studio and I believe you can help me out. What is the basic set-up for a beginner? BASIC...... lol

  • You need basically four things (besides a computer and assuming you have the instrument(s) you want to record): recording software, either a mixer or a firebox to plug into, at least one microphone (condensor), and studio monitors which put the sound back at you from the computer. The reason you cant use your regular computer speakers is because they will not give you the true sound of the recording that you need to make a quality recording.

  • do you have any advice for a poor 15 year old white rapper who wants to make a recording studio in his basement?

  • @shadeofwolves

you will need a computer (i perfer a Mac), and any DAWS. And a good mic and pop filter for the mic. and talent. lol and thats basically it.

    and @ SHEEmusic

    i like your setup

  • was that a joke?

  • illmatic reppin the number 1 spot on the wall

  • I can't tell you how exciting it is to hear a musically talented female who's passiontate about gear like I am and can rattle it off like that- intoxicating!

  • fucking hell my dads worried bout getting a table and shes got like everything ! :( :(

  • I can't even explain how jealous I am of this set up. this is very impressive.

  • have you ever thought of just producing?

just work on mastering trax and your set wit it.

thats a bunch of equipment you got, u sure u kno how to use all of it? im not tryen to be an asshole or anything but thats a lot of money, i have about $700 worth of equipment and the sound is professional.

  • God damn you make me feel poor!!! lol but i guess we all start somewhere shit i jus started tah buy things fah a home recording studio i've only spent almost $600 n i feel like das alot i dont even wanna kno how much you've spent...lol

  • I was thinking of getting myself the akg k701 but i was wondering, do you get a lot of audio bleed from it? I dont want it to be too loud bothering people around me.

  • omg you got to have alot of cash?

  • For supporting that SE reflector thing...why not just connect a desk flange to a ceiling joist...$3 vs $150 there...I saw where last month they were giving away the se2200 away for free with that reflection device

  • all things are not high end hahahahaha

  • ayy i like you and what u do ima subscribe

  • Damn that is a lot of stuff! I just have a desktop, external drive, keyboard, 2 guitars a bass and a mic with a few pedals and a small recording interface with Cubase LE4.

This video made me feel less than two feet tall (and I'm 6'4) lol!

Props and respect, lady! That's awesome.

    Calgary, Alberta Canada! :)

  • and u think u got it bad... i got a mic (walmart pencil type) and old cd player headphones with a desktop and radio... thats what we gotta work with so count yourself luccy lol

  • lol! That's awesome!!!

  • haha yea we werent all born wit rich parents.

  • yea... i kno dats true... lol i gotta liv wit it every day

  • nice studio, i wouldnt know where to begin with all that equipment. all the props to you if you know how to work in & out of all your hardware and software.

  • wicked setup. Im just starting up my own home recording, and it's noting near yours :)

    Edmonton Alberta Canada

  • Terrific Setup! What mixers do you use?

  • You are now the sexiest thing alive. The fact that you are a woman with an amazing studio makes me love you. And even better, you have such a diverse set up of gear that you could record anything from hip hop to rock and everything in between. Great setup, loved the video...and you!

  • I guess the reason we don't see your hubby is because he's working at one of his 3 jobs right now so he can pay for all this. LOL

  • no offense...but ur what we refer to as a "Gear Slut", takes one to know one

Nice set up...u know ur stuff

  • Nice studio hon. I started with Logic Express 7.2 on my Mac G4 MDD. I like that Mac G5 coffee mug though....(wink). I am running Reason 3 on my G5. Hahah...u will notice my MXL 990 mic as well. Keep doin it big. Looking forward to more videos. I have studio tour video as well.

  • JESUS UR STUDIO IS ON POINT/ DA KNOWLEDGE U HAVE ON IT TURNZ ME ON!!lol naw nice though.

  • Aaa! Don't put external drives, or any drives, next to speakers - the magentism can really mess up the drive. HD's run using magnetism, and speakers have a big magnet in them. Over time, the pull from the speakers will just destroy/delete/corrupt all your data.. !

  • I would like to know how do you set up a pop filter

  • ?? its easy as hell, you just screw it on to the horizontal extension arm of the mic stand and bring the mesh out about 4-6 inches in front of the mic.

  • @nick42701 Oh already got it done like what?maybe a couple of months thought, but thanks anyways :D

  • gorda trash!

  • You have a Great studio set up but i wouldn't put things on top of your speaker monitors because it could cuase vibrations leading to an unaccurate mix.

  • safez x

  • is that samson mic good recording over beats? raps singing?

  • this is phenomenal!

  • I LOVE U!

  • hello lol

  • what do you recommend for a really cheap but good speakers

  • fostex

  • thanks loads

  • M-audio BX5a really good and cheap!

  • bang & Olufsen:)

  • word up, nice setup!!

    keep it real!!

  • So organized. Great video on home studio recording alone!

  • i have a question

i want to start to produce and i need a keyboard and controller.

what cheap keyboards and controllers are there?

also should i have other equipment to produce music?

i use FL Studio 8 XXL so i just need to know if i shud buy anything else.

  • I like your set up. I'm trying to build my own can you help me?

  • wow....this studio makes my studio look like "value village".....your knowledge is solid, you probably own this house, which i do not.....but in keeping with most of my comments.......NIGGER! thanks for posting

  • How good is the talkback mic on that CME Matrix Y? Does it pick your voice up well from arm's length away?

  • DAMN! ur crib is nice!!!

  • what interface are you using with the multimix?

  • omg this is pretty much amazing.

you should talk to me about some basic things that are good that i would need to start my own home studio.

so far all i have is a tascam 24 track recorder and a condencer mic and a drum set and some guitars.

  • sounds like you allready have a homestudio.

  • oh my god that is an impeccable studio you have, i admire you (and am a little envious haha), great job with the tour your knowledge of your equipment was crazy lol, good job and good luck...check out my page??

  • Cool...
