Yeah Cooper's trilogy was some GREAT music. The Last Temptation, Brutal Planet and Dragon Town took Alice on a more "industrial" type road.. but due to people wanting Cooper to go back to his "roots" he abandoned this style and tries to recapture his old stuff.. (badly).. although Along Came a Spider wasn't terrible... it really wasn't as good as these three albums.

@PlanetGemini I have to agree with this comment. TLT, DT & especially BP were really some good hard old rock and roll (with a message). I saw him this summer - psychodrama and theater of death - and it was a "oldies but goldies" fest. ( I think out of twenty eight songs only 3-4 were from solo career) A lot of concert goers loved it but they weren't regular followers. One youngster said she was so happy to hear those songs before he died???

I hear ya, It's important for these older artists to try to surround themselves with younger musicians sometimes. I think Brutal Planet is Cooper's finest moment. Don't get me wrong I love the "Welcome to my Nightmare" album but, Brutal Planet was aggressive, fresh.. it felt like Alice was a man on a mission and had something to prove.

LucioDeacon, I think you're confusing this album with his latest, which is "Along Came A Spider." May I reccomend it? Now, it's really about a serial killer who goes by the name "Spider". The Steven reference is very late in the album, but it's so cleverly connected, woven into the thread of the story, so to speak......You'll see.....Or, rather hear......The Spider cd's awesome! Looove it, yes you'll looooove it.
