@directorPlz as vintagelightman03 said, fog particles (burnt hydrocarbons) reflect the light of the beams, making them visible. It's a super cool effect.
not to much critics, the start was good, music is good. About 00:45 the laser took over the show.. Anyways, nice work :)
did you hire proffesionals, or just the techs at the school?
And you, Foster right? In big events, there should be three groups of techs crew. Lightning, sound and camera crews.. its not right to let the light technican do the video recording.
haha, no professionals, just a rigger and the school crew to help put the truss together.
I am Daniel, I am Head of Lighting in 2008, (2nd in charge this year), however, the younger crew members are in all departments, (we actually have 3 depts and 1 unofficial dept. Lighting, Sound, Mechanics.
Anyway, due to the complexity of the show, we only had the Heads driving the intelligent lighting desk, and put the younger ones in half an hour shifts on the lighting desk controlling conventionals.

thankyou, we shall try and make it better than 2007's (obviously a very very hard task, that was an awesome dance)

nice work, was all the equipment rented or does your school own all of it??
nickcaballero 4 years ago
We rented the Clay Paky Stage Zooms, Stagescans, Strobes, Laser, Smoke Machine..
We were given a budget to hire equipment for this dance...
usually we just have conventionals, and our 4 trackspots.

quite nice for a school, nice equipment, bad light show.. if you have the equipment to make e good show, use it.. all i could see was the laser..
djTronic 4 years ago
at that point i was behind the camera..
but yeah... i agree with you about the overuse of the laser
