Every lonely person needs a Pug. I can play with mine for hours and they are the best nap buddies in the world. It's just like having a baby to play with anytime!

McGracie looks this sad when she's in the bath too but all kids get this look when they're made to do what they don't want. :)

Its not a good idea to give pugs a bath. It dries their skin.

@HuskerIsNumberOne that's why you use products that help moisturize their skin. Pugs smell putrid if you don't bathe them.

@HuskerIsNumberOne Personally, I don't own a pug (yet) but my best friend has 3, and she bathes her dogs once every one or two weeks, depending on how stinky they get, and she uses oatmeal dog shampoo on them.

@Andrea9514 Okay, is that something I can find at Petco or Petsmart? My family have one year old pug (I have a video of her if you check my videos) and we have never gave her a bath because our vet told us it would dry her skin and even the pug books said its not recommended.

We do wipe her down every day with dog bath wipes.

@HuskerIsNumberOne I bathe our pug McGracie with a wash that we get from the vet called Pyrohex which is anti-bacterial as she has had skin problems and then use an oatmeal conditioner ( also from the vet) to make her soft and shiny. I feed her a diet of excellent quality dry food and chicken necks for her teeth. Once in awhile she gets a raw meaty bone but not often as I find too much red meat can make her smelly.

@TheMarnie Yeah, I went to her vet last week and picked up a small bottle of shampoo that's specifically for dogs that have dry skin. I can give her a bath every day if I wanted to, but if I give her a bath once a month, that's okay too.

Noggin LOVES getting BATH!!! Your pug is too sweet - especially when he dries himself. Your video didn't show it - but just in case - when you wet a dog down before scrubbing - it's important to wet them down Head to Tail. That way, all critters in their coat run for the tail, away from the flood of water, - and NOT towards their head and EARS!!

@nicky927 LOL my Lola plays that i hate bath stuff...but that lil girl loves water...she splashes around in the tub, lake, mud puddle..whatever she can find....my pug likes to play with the towel when we are drying her off..ur pug is too cute...my Frankie on the other hand HATES baths and water period...he wont come in unless im in the water and we walks ever so gentley just to make sure he doesnt splash and here comes Lola splashing along...poor lil man..im trying to teach him water is fun!!
