She just survived a recall, thanks to her friends on the council, from local business who support her stance on low taxes for them, at the newspaper, at the police department and the district attorney's office.

A seven year old kid is going to file suit against her very soon.

People in Barnstable are too busy making ends meet to pay attention to local politics. Most folks accept a certain amount of corruption from their elected officials, but this bitch goes way past what is acceptable. She is like the elephant in the living room that no one wants to discuss. Her blog is an embarassment to the council and the whole town. She has attacked vocal critics by going after them on her blog, and recently sent her husband to stalk and threaten a local activist in a market!

From what I understand, the various individuals who have been assaulted on Janet Joakim hate blog feel that for the sake of economy it is simply better to recall her.

Wow. I just looked over that blog. You folks have a clear cut libel suit against Janet Joakim and the Town of Barnstable. What on earth is stopping you from suing?

We read the blog by Janet Joakim, and while she writes a bunch of fluff and edits often, she does indeed attack individual citizens for purposes of intimidation and harassment.
