@bigheadbady did they ever admitted that any of their planes were not self produced? no.
and everybody know that their planes are allways exact copies of others, they have a copy of mig 21, they have a copy of levi and every other of their planes is copies... but they never admit it cus they are a dictatoric propagandish state, they allways tell anything so the people will be sure their country is the greatest
@davidds0 i am not a military fan and just from the appearance of both jet, i check out the difference very carefully....i found they are totally the same...or maybe we can say that china buy that jet Lavi from you and directly give it a new name J-10 so that they can brag to the other country they build a incredible fighter jet all by their own. the most ridiculous part is the goverment can convince themself and their people to believe the whole shit and be pround of it . how pathetic
@bigheadbady There was a huge political mess in the early 2000's about Israel selling military equipment to china, the media fuss was mainly about the 4th generation EW and ELINT Falcon(not F16) planes, but considering the aftermath of that was an Israeli government approval of a US congressional oversight on all weapons trade to none NATO states, people suggested that there had to be more than just radar planes(even tho according to some sources capable of picking up B2's) to spark such a mess.
in case you don't know. it was the American administration at that time that forced israel to stop manufacturing the Lavi Jet fighter, Israel had spent a tremendous amount of money on that jet, then sold it to the Chinese
which is not called the J 10,
the Lavi can out perform the F16 and F 22 put together, when time comes Israel will start manufacturing it again
@MadMax82043 i completely agreed with you. the american would do anything for thier own benefit, such as selling outdated crap with overprice to our country. because the situation of our country, we have no other way but accepting anything they give. sigh.........
i believe you will. i always consider Israel is a powerful country.
@KarthikSoun ehh will you stop being against me every time i say some thing good about israeli technology?? is it your conquest ?! the similarities between levi and J-10 are allmost 90% the same, compared to the F-16 which are much more diffrent, yes there are similier but they are diffrent planes, diffrent developments not the fucking same blueprints sold to china..
@davidds0 Who is against you!!! I was just saying thats all. :P The IAI Lavi has the same F-16 fuselage, Intakes and frame. The wing design is a bit different i agree. The same way the J-10 has different Intake ducts, Fuselage and its a lot bigger. Why would Israel supply technology to China when it will invite US wrath over selling such sensitive technology to a potential enemy?
@KarthikSoun cus the levi was very good jet, at its time the 80s.. today its not moderen at all, and those rights arent really a big deal, and israel did sold , also US said nothing cus nobody really cares, those arent worth as much as they used to worth at the 80s.. as much as i seen the J-10 is allmost the same as the levi only a few micro changes. from what i learned about aerodynamics, wing shape has so much effect i never thought it has, and the diffrence between F-16 and levi is huge
@davidds0 So Israel will be very happy if USA sells Iran,Syria and other Hostile nations technology to build F-16s? I hate it when people talk of democracy and peace then go sell dictators and oppressive regimes with technology. Thats why i hate US,Sweden etc., May be it would be nice if India sold some Missile technology to Iran.! I dont think Israel would have done such a thing and the Chinese version may be inspired from the Lavi but clearely the Canards etc. are placed differently!
@KarthikSoun but i do admit i think the levi was basicly build on the same needs the F-16 was build, cheap, light, multirole ability, high manuverability, basicly anybody who need a F-16 would need a levi and vice versa, but as much as i know US only helped funding the project
@KarthikSoun [ Why would Israel supply technology to China when it will invite US wrath over selling such sensitive technology to a potential enemy? ]
because Israel love to fuck US over... it how it holds the US at ranson. each time US tries to do something Israel doesn't like, something ends up in China. US is being suckered by Israel and Pakistan and it doesn't have the gut to stand against them: "their allies", if being allies means you foot the bill and they get to share the toy with China
Actually the Lavi was supposed to be superior to the F-16, that's why they stopped it's production, the US went berserk when they found out that the IAI made a copy of it's F-16 that was cheaper, easier to maintain and also superior. It was as ego thing.
ES UNA LASTIMA QUE ISRAEL NO CONTINUARA CON LA FABRICACION DE ESTE AVION Y PUES ASI COLOMBIA TENDIRIA UN EXLENTE AVION YA QUE USA NO DEJA Q ALGUN PAIS LATINO OBTENGA UN AVION DE EXELENTE TECNOLOGIA NUEVO SOLO NOS DEJA COMPRAR BASURA DE SEGUNDA MANO POR ESO VENEZUELA TUVO Q VER EL MERCADO RUSO Y ASI TENER AVIONES NUEVOS
some say the US was afraid the Lavi will be a cheaper version of the f-16 with pretty much the same capabilities (or even better), they were afraid it will damage the selling, so the put pressure on israel to shut it down.
others say it just didnt paid-off for israel to develop & produce a line of jet fighters.
but i think since the Lavi was with the same capabilities of the f-16, many countries would have bought it, so it could actually be worthwhile to start width producing.
@kidi1232 Most of the technology inside it was from the US, so the US would never allowed it to compete with the F16, so it couldn't be exported. Also Israel needs to buy US weapons with the military assistance money they get every year so the lavi couldn't be bought with that money. But the most important reason was that the F16 was superior in almost all ways to the Lavi, the only advantage the Lavi had was that it was cheaper and easier to maintain.
@boloyung9 really? then why the f-16s and f-15s israel have are being taken apart, and rebuilt with israeli made technologies? what makes you think israel would install US made technology in an israeli planes, when it has israeli technology in a US made plane?
@kidi1232 What you cal "Israeli technology" is always relative. Stop thinking that you are smarter than your asses. Israel profits simply from every single top technology going out in the US and Europe. Good thing it does, I am exactly saying that this is the best way to develop things - since Israel enjoys the support of USA and Europe it will keep doing so. But last thing you can do is claim that all that is "Israel technology". Israelis have indeed technology but 95% its all about copying.
@notgodsemigod ... I mean...everyone knows that Israel has atomic bombs. So if they have really the technology to have them, where did the develop them? In Israel? And where did they test them? In Israel too? Yeah, they said to the population "move 2-3 kilometers further, its gonna do some "kaboooom" ! Hehe!
Alright, Israel enjoys so much support that it has purchased (or given for free) as many as 200 warheads (as some openly state), but then this does not mean they had or have the tech.
@Streetcat24 YOU? if you are assuming I am american, I am not. clearly you got screw by THEM. ;-)
