  • Paint roller instead

    ftw??

  • what could i use as a roller for the deadener?

  • @Crazycaraudio Any little roller like this will work. you could use a hammer (lightly) anything man. just make sure the stuff is pressed on at a decent pressure (not TO hard tho)

  • How much is eDead?

  • @itsmeshawman Check out the Elemental Design car audio website for details :) !

  • looking good keep it up.

  • im glad you deadened the roof. i have 12sq feet on my civic's roof and it still flexes hard with the wall in place.

  • @J00bles Yea man I added one more final layer over this since the video to, the roof on this car didnt budge with the old system on 3k but walls are another story I guess ! ha

  • those pins on the ceiling are a bastard to take out

  • @monsterstereo You sir..... Are so correct..

  • a good sound deadener was a can of expanding foam into all my pockets and crevaces where i couldnt reach with the sound deadning material. good vids man

  • the roof the roof the roof is on fire...well done...gud vid

  • cherry i sound reinforced my roof cause damn roof brackets broke off, so i just used silicon seal with roofing tape and carpet foam.... roofing tape fell off and headliner now sagging :(! got any ideas I don't wanna use the same stuff if it will just fall off again?! Love your subs :)

  • what subs do you have?

  • @RuskiPanda In this video, Elemental Design 13av.2 subs. I have ordered 2 DC sound lab Xl 18' subs as I am redoing this entire temporary setup .

  • @RuskiPanda those are elemental designs 13av.2's

  • you really should use acetone to clean your roof instead of rubbing alcohol. you can get a film left using the alcohol.

  • thats funny, i just deadnd my expo yesterday(100sq ft.)... its hits so deep and clear now,.. hope you enjoy urs.... nice job, i have a wall build in my future(4 18s)..good luck on yours, ill b waitn to see how it comes out...

  • Nice comparison vid!

  • nice man i need to do that to mine since im putting 4 NRG 12s in my altima :P

  • The eD roller looks the same however i have had great luck with it. already added about 80 sqft and no issues. GO eD!!!

  • that alot better!

  • peel andseal works and is cheaper then this stuff

  • @bradygd not in my case... peel and seal isnt recommend for the ceilings of cars. been there done that.

  • @bradygd Peel and seal is only a $0.40 difference to the eD 80 and its actually MORE expensive that the eD 45 which is a better comparison. so yea. The only perk to the peel and seal is you can buy it almost anywhere and get it immediately where as you have to wait for shipping of the eD stuff

  • @billiambarnett my bad i didnt know :)

  • Good job broski.. can't wait till hear the finished product.

  • damn that roof is solid, i just wanna jump on it! :)

  • Nice job. I have edead 80 on my doors along with a layer of edead v4 (the teklite). Amazing difference.

  • @dre3k78 Im thinking of adding the teklite to ! What does that add to the deadning ?

  • @TylerTron21 Teklite helps with higher frequencies so its great for your front stage and front door areas.

  • Looks good man.

  • how much did it cost to do the whole roof

  • damn dude big difference good vid man

  • Lets burn the dynomat roller..its hardly worth its weight in ashes.

  • Deadnened is the half way to get loud bro, nice work

  • Night and Day bro. damn, i needs to get me some.

  • why not do it the right way and use birch and steel? its still gonna flex

  • @ddking69 The projects not done, is it? (Don't bother answering, that's a Rhetorical question)

  • @thevillian88 no flex is better then less flex.....

  • @ddking69 Im using True Baltic birch , 1" (19-20ply), double if not triple the baffle. Then wood dowels with a tonnnnnn of glass . Should not flex ; )

  • @TylerTron21 DDking was talking about the roof, to which you may still be using MDF on too...along with all this sound deadener. Just to straighten that out..

  • now That roof will survive a big hailstorm too!!

    Great job!

  • lol it works please stop hitting the roof!!! =D

  • you think adding truck bed liner/ deadener would imporove after the deader mat?

  • dude, that's really solid compared to the before. and it flexes wayyyyy less.

  • @Hless421 Very very true !

  • what did you use sounds good

  • @bobbyt30705 Just some eDead 40 as a base, then eDead 80 over top (the thick stuff) from Elemental Designs.

Cheap to. Bought some Resonance Killer from Mike Singer last week (Signaboy) should be here soon ! Looking forward to his product aswell. And yes this stuff mad a MASSIVE difference in sound / strength of the roof. As seen / herd in the video :)

  • what kind of car is that?

  • @alvarez1513 01 Olds Alero 4dr.
