Muley's Round House was always one of my favorite SCTV segments. There were too few of them. The way he fills his cheeks with air and persecutedly pouts, "Boys and girls" is FUNNY, FUNNY, TOO FUNNY!!!
Ramis in Grapes Of Mud: You commies really burn my britches! You think this land is yourn, well it ain't yourn! Renting it out, subdividing it, that and this piece of paper. That's what makes it yourn! Flaherty: That makes me mad Muley, that makes me mean mad, that makes me vicious angry bad mad!! Ramis: That still don't make it yourn! (Flaherty hits him with a feather duster)
Series 6 not yet available on DVD has It's A Wonderful Film, Oliver Twist and also South Sea Sinner with Betty Thomas, where Martin Short says, "I'm not French, I'm Belgian, BELGIAN!!!!"
Thanks for posting as I haven't seen that in decades.
I think this particular character of Ramis' is based both on "Muley" from the Grapes of Wrath and also a kids TV show from the 1960's & 70's produced by a station in Southern Ontario.

These '70s show are the best! I bought a few DVDs of the NBC years. Not the same.

"these are some of the worst yet"....LOL
That line always cracks me up when he shows those horrible children's drawings

The funny thing was, in real life Margaret Dumont never appeared in any Three Stooges shorts . . .

'That's the best line!
Didn't Muley get himself killed in "The Grapes of Mud"? Butr then, Muley doesn't look too developed in the intelligence department.

Brilliant. The fact that this will not be released on DVD is a crime. Ramis is a very underrated performer.

One of his best characters. Poor Muley, he deserves that peanut butter sandwich!

@woahannablue
I can sympathize with Muley over turbot vs peanut butter. If you're craving PB, any fish, no matter how well cooked, is not going to compare.

I love SCTV!!! However Harold Ramis' departure was good for the show.
