How well do these llast? Do you need to hit the cymbal really hard to get thee full sound? If you hit the cymbal really hard how long do you think theyd last?
@LuukVNL no broken in, as in used a little bit. i think once you use cymbals for a while and let the alloys vibrate a bit, they start to sound better.
The cymbals dont sound too bad. Im not sure what type of cymbal im looking for though. Maybe just more brilliant and have a cutting ride with more brilliant cymbals that you can smash on without them sounding heavy or clicky. idk if its just me though....
I have these, I'm not a big fan of them. the sound... I can't even explain it. I don't want to say trashy, but that seems to describe it. they're cheap and you probably get what you pay for though
@LeftyLP80 He meant stop hitting them so lightly, and really...well, crash the crash like it's supposed to be used so he can get a sense of how it sounds.
@LeftyLP80 I'm just saying that why don't you hit the cymbal hard like you do when you play on them in a real song? instead of just tuching them gently with the tip of the drum sticks for 2 minutes each? the cleaning thing was just a metfore.
@Robbinblacknight94 the cleaning thing was a metaphor? please tell me what two things you are comparing with that metaphor. i have no idea what a metfore is
just got this pack yesterday with the bonus 18" crash so stoked with it
i was just needing a 16" crash 20" ride and 18" crash which all together would of cost almost $800-$900 in australia but then saw this pack and was reuced down to $500 now that is bargin shopping
@Mattguitarman1234 No, they are not. They aren't even close. You obviously aren't a very experienced drummer, or you just bought these and have post-transacrion excitment syndrome.
@Jahipleef I did, and I am not rich so I bought the budget ones, and I like them just as good as the expensive ones. its just an opinion guy no need to get worked up over it.
@Mattguitarman1234 You said "These are the best cymbals in the world", meaning that they are, which they are not. If it was your opion, you would have stated that, which you didn't, making itlook like you actually think that.
@Mattguitarman1234 I'm a douche bag for correcting you, but you're not for calling me an ass hole, douche, and telling me to fuck off, all because you know I'm right.
@Mattguitarman1234 First of all, I'm not rich, I was just saying that these are definitley NOT the best cymbals in the world. Second of all, I first commented just correcting you, to which you apparently found amazing offensive, so I think YOU should get over it. I'm not the one raging becasue I'm poor.
@Mattguitarman1234 stfu. why do you even care what some anonymous person you'll NEVER meet thinks? cymbal sound is highly objective and saying someones a douche for disagreeing with you and telling them to fuck their mother is not a good way to win an argument. it just makes you look like a tool.
i own these same cymbals, and my hi hats sound kinda like not good, idk how to explain it, they sound like im hitting two trash can lids, do i need to break them in or what?
@valax30 its not so much of breaking them in...but more of getting used to the new sound....although your cymbals will be oxidized over the years...and the metals will get softer and sound more equal and transforming
@hayabus111a zbt 4 pro...they are thinner....and theyre isnt that big of a difference between their durability....the cymbals i own have had their fair share of abuse...and im sure the zbt pro would be just the same
ive had all 4 of these cymbals for around 7 months and i beat on them everday,i cant say anything bad about them except for the ride. idk bout u but i dont care for a cymbal that resonates for a long time and the ride does just that. the 18 inch crash is also kind of gongy unless u smack it hard
@felixbla11 as long as you dont hit them extremely hard(and by extremely i mean very very hard) you should have no problem, the worst disfiguring was a small dent on the edge of the 18" crash, but it makes no difference in sound and hardly is noticable. hope that helped, thanks
@botname001 ive been playing on them since january...and i play em everyday...but keep in mind they are very subtle dents....hardly noticable in sound or sight.....its is only maybe 1 in each of the crashes
This guy I guess is lucky, I've gone through 2 sets of these things. The 16" crash is the worst. had like a 3month span before cracking. Great sound but not very durable.
I'm only reffering to the crashes. Like the 16inch crash goes pretty fast for me. I've upgraded now anyway. I've gone through like 2 of them really fast it sucks.
Maybe I've just been unlucky I don't know. They broke on me alot. I never got to use them much cuase they'd just start cracking. Good thing you've had more fortune than myself.
@LeftyLP80 hey im planning to buy the exact same pack as this one 16 18 crash 14 hats and 20 ride....is it good? my friends tell me its not but i dont trust em lol
@kakashi11213 its good for beginners...but if you want a nicer set to last you for your life then id go for somethin better...your friends just think theyre cheap but they are really not that bad
@Mccheese999 i now look back at that now....and really do not know...this are the exact same price as these...the b8s are definitely thinner...not for rock...but its all an opinion...right now...i would have chosen the b8s....these are nice and all but they could be better...the ride isnt very good
I had these cymbals for like 2-3 months before they broke in and these are REALLY GOOD CYMBALS FOR A GOOD PRICE!! But after have playing a while, my 16'' crash broke :( this time im going to buy the 16'' again and the 18'' rock crashes. I was really surpriced when i heard the sound of them! BTW!!
