For those of you that worry about carrying a smaller caliber gun I would submit that modern ammo has greatly increased the effectiveness of smaller rounds. I have done quite a bit of testing on clothing covered bone in roasts and I would sure not want to get hit with a 380 mag safe it penetrates well and makes a real mess.
Frightening, I'm french and I'm pretty happy that in my country nobody carries guns like that. I love your knife videos but this seems completely paranoid.
For all those saying "you have to protect your familly" most of the time (don't remember the stat) it's a member of the familly shot by their own gun accidentally.

As a german , i cant imagine livin in a country where everybody ( who has a licence ) is allowed to carry a gun on the streets. Here, you would be thrown in the cell when you carry a knife with a fixed blade thats longer than 7cm . In terms of that, you are the luckier ones , because i live in a village which has the highest youth crime rate in germany.. and we only have a population of like 10.000 people ! Our cops are worthless and no way to defend yourself from this cheap punks with weapons.

.380 is the minimum self defense round IMO. That being said, with good S/D calibers, bullet placement is WAY more important than caliber, within reason. "Officers having to put multiple 9mm into perps" is ALOT overblown. The majority of cases were with hollow points that rarely expanded and acted as FMJ's. There have been many documented failures even with the ''big bad'' .45. With modern bullets a 9mm is just as effective as the best .45 or 10mm. Don't believe otherwise. ''9'' is just fine!!

There have been individuals shot several times with .45's, that kept on doing what they were doing. Most people realize that a handgun is a handgun and shot placement with them is MUCH more important than caliber.
@desighnedmilitent As a soldier, I can say that the difference in effect between calibers is astounding. Someone who gets shot with a 5.56 may have some internal bleeding (it tends to bounce) and won't be able to continue fighting (hopefully), but 7.62 with carve a chunk out of them. If you think size doesn't matter, go to the range. Fire at an ESAPI plate with a 9mm. Nothing will happen. Now try .45 and see the difference.

I haven't carried a real wallet in years. I use a brass moneyclip, and it works great. I keep my ID and credit card in a thin, leather, ID case. If I ever get mugged, I can just hand over the moneyclip, while keeping my credit card and my ID. Credit cards are easily canceled. Getting ID replaced is a huge headache.
I used to carry just money clips it stinks wallets are just better and a wllet and monery clip just takes up more room for my yet i can fit 9 books in one pocket

I have carried a 6 inch stelleto with me since i was twelve. A man held me at gunpoint and asked for my cash rather than doing the smart thing and giving him the paper in my wallet i stabbed him he droped the gun and it went off i ran 1 half a mile to the police station no questions asked they called my parents and they came and got me. have you ever considered a non-lethal option in addition to your firearm for self defense? ie: pepper spray, taser, or my favorite option collapsable baton. Great video as usual.
Less lethal... Tasers, pepper spray and collapsible batons... Less lethal, not non-lethal.
I could see maybe a baton(if you have room)... then again, it just might be illegal where you are... A lot of places that allow you to carry fire-arms have laws against bludgeoning weapons, of which a baton might fall.
What ammo are you shooting in the .380? The look like cor-bon, but I could be wrong. I shoot remington golden sabers in all my guns, for one specific reason. The cutouts in the hp, are made counter clockwise, so they are spinning opposite of the rifling, wich evidence suggests leads to better penetration. Something to think about especially in the smaller calibers. YMMV, just my 2 cents worth.

Im pretty usre the kids and teachwers at columbine didnt go to the school that day thinking they woudl get in a gunfight...or virgina tech or the countless other public shootouts...no I dont think Ill be in a gun fight and hope not to be but if one breaks out Il be prepared...

I haven't carried a real wallet in years. I use a brass moneyclip, and it works great. I keep my ID and credit card in a thin, leather, ID case. If I ever get mugged, I can just hand over the moneyclip, while keeping my credit card and my ID. Credit cards are easily canceled. Getting ID replaced is a huge headache.

I have carried a 6 inch stelleto with me since i was twelve. A man held me at gunpoint and asked for my cash rather than doing the smart thing and giving him the paper in my wallet i stabbed him he droped the gun and it went off i ran 1 half a mile to the police station no questions asked they called my parents and they came and got me. That knife has saved my life 3 times i dont go anywhere and i mean absoloutly anwhere without it dog is mans best friend guns and knives are. But dogs are second

have you ever considered a non-lethal option in addition to your firearm for self defense? ie: pepper spray, taser, or my favorite option collapsable baton. Great video as usual.

I could see maybe a baton(if you have room)... then again, it just might be illegal where you are... A lot of places that allow you to carry fire-arms have laws against bludgeoning weapons, of which a baton might fall.

What ammo are you shooting in the .380? The look like cor-bon, but I could be wrong. I shoot remington golden sabers in all my guns, for one specific reason. The cutouts in the hp, are made counter clockwise, so they are spinning opposite of the rifling, wich evidence suggests leads to better penetration. Something to think about especially in the smaller calibers. YMMV, just my 2 cents worth.
