Norwegian Power/US/Melodic Metallers - TOMORROW'S OUTLOOK - 34613 - Digipack CD - Featuring Michael Kiske (EX Helloween/UNISONIC) and Graham Bonnet (Alcatrazz/MSG/Rainbow). Released soon on Battlegod Productions.
Boy, but is this awesome. Kind of reminds me of "Flight of Icarus" by Iron Maiden, I mean, the chorus part. I regret that this is a very moment I discovered this band, not like 10 years ago.
My older friend introduced Midnight & Crimson Glory to me only 2 years ago...mighty music with a majestic voice!!! The death of Midnight was by far one of the greatest losses to the world of music.
Oh well, Midnight is making new soaring metal tunes with Schuldiner on guitar and Cozy Powell on the drums...and with Ronnie James Dio producing & singing duets with him! But that's in the Eternal World, a place that we true metal fans will see one day...
I once met Midnight at a club/bar many many moons ago. I had no idea who he was or his vocal abilities. It was until I moved from the Tampa Bay area to the Bay Area of California that a friend popped in this cd. I asked "who is this?" with amazement in my voice. He said Crimson Glory, from Tampa,Fl. The lead singer's name is Midnight. I was plucked! If only I had known who I had met that night with the name Midnight. May the skies be painted with your voice forever..... R.I.P. Brother....
This whole album to me seems to be in a way about Astreal Travel if you Really Listen to the lyrics. It's about Dreams and Painting the skys, Flying, freedom... It really does make me think, When Midnight went missing for so long was it becuse he was in a higher state (no drugs) Did he reatch Astreal mastery? Deep stuff, Great song. None the less, Midnight IS in the Astral now, For ever paint thows blue skys my Dear friend, My idol...
Great song. The guitar intro reminds of "The Lady Wore Black" by Queensryche and the vocal melody in the verse reminds me of that same Queensryche song mixed with "Sign Of The Southern Cross" by Black Sabbath. All great songs too...
Such an amazing song by a wayyy under rated band. In a just world, this band would have been huge selling millions of albums, by god, listen to that voice, the guitar bass and drum so tight, so cohesive, its musical poetry, these are the types of songs you take in a special place in your heart to the grave...
I've been listening to this since a very young child&once I heard this it changed everything within me,everything of whom I am&how I view the world. This is the song that gives me everlasting strength within no matter what trials&tribulations I must face within this life! R.I.P Midnight!
1 very very lost soul without a clue hit the dislike button, prolly a Beiber fan that stumbled in by mistake because Justin likes to paint pictures of the sky. Oh how I feel sorry for you for never letting this man we call "Midnight' take you places that you never dreamed of going. As for the rest of us who know the truth; CARRY ON. In death I've found the answer In death I live again Fear not the reaper's blade It does not mean the end, It never really ends. RIP John Patrick McDonald Jr.
I miss the times that I was spending all my pocket money to classic Heavy Metal records, running home, carefully unwrapping them like changing a baby, only to listen to this heavenly music that would take me to another world for a few minutes.
the sky..sometimes tells the future...to me he said more than i would to know...so many tears..anyway, thank you Midnight, i hope you're flying trough every painted skies you want to reach.
Awesome song, and band! This song always takes me back to the 80's when my first true & i love broke up after a short engagement. She moved off to Sarasota Florida to live, and she met, and got to know all the members in the band! I'll always be her friend....you know who you are, and if you read this i hope you are having a great life. You deserve it!!!
@878commando, unfortunately yes. He passed away a little over a year ago just when things were really starting to 'bluer' (in the sense of Painted Skies) for him.
@Redshiftnow I am saddend every time I listen to Midnight,my dad showed me this band when I was 5 and I never layed this band to rest, never will! Midnight is such a huge meaning to my life and I've really pushed myself in depthly to understand Midnights lyrics
those 3 dislike...hmm... I'm sorry for them..they've got no clue what good music really is
