by chance, i've seen first the video you've responded to. funny thing is, everybody trying to give you tips how to clean your adapter .... nice people!
your best chance, i mean idk if yuou're in the USor not but you can buy a Ground Glass (fuckussing screen) duster from filmtools, in burbank,ca it looks like a ball with a paintbrush on the end, best of luck,
(P.S i had the same problem, build your rig so you can get to the GG on both sides.
Use a...well I'm not sure what they call it, but it's the thing nurses use to inflate the arm band when taking blood pressure. Get one of those, sans-arm band of course, and very gently blow the dust off the screen.
compressed air is ok if you are careful and don't try to blast out any stuck dust. Use the "canned air" sold for this purpose to blow away the loose particles, making sure the surface you are blowing is facing *down* to let gravity move free particles away. Then a photographers lense brush to carefully dislodge the rest. Many commercial focusing screens have a circular pattern etched into the surface so brush "around the grain"
lol rage against the machine in the background lolollololol

Sandwich the GG between UV filters, it provides an airtight seal protecting the GG.

Don´t use the air compressed bottles because they can damage the screen, try a lens cleaner kit (which are very cheap).

Buy a Pro Rocket Blower from a camera shop and use that to get the dust off (The're only like $6)
flamingbrickstudios 3 years ago
you dont have to worry about dust if you put the filters together. that makes it dust-tight.
