@MrSalamander7 You obviously haven't had a good listen to Dragon's Kiss. It is supreme. And yes Becker rules too, so does Gilbert and Yngwie and Buckethead and Vai and Satch and Loomis.
@MrSalamander7 Becker is freaking good, but he was never any better than Friedman. Even in Cacophany you could tell Jason was the messier one. In my opinion Dragon's kiss is the ultimate Metal Virtuoso album. Obviously that's an opinion. I'm not sure what you're saying... Maybe that Friedman should give up and go and sell pizzas or something?

@samuraichickdude I got into both guitarists when Cacophony first came out in the 80s and I have both albums on vinyl still, I also have Marty's Dragon's Kiss and Jason's Perpetual Burn on vinyl and have listened to all of them numerous numerous times. I have always been a Megadeth fan and I have heard bits and pieces of Marty's later albums and various Jason Jams. So in short, no, I have listened to a fair bit of both artists and appreciate them both. I was simply replying to Mrsalamanda.

However in an interview Marty states that "Backer was the guy that could play anything...." I'd quote further however im afraid I havent seen this interview for a long time.
This doesnt at all take credit from Marty, nor says who is better.
