  • Sounds tricky! Well done!

  • Well not to get into international hostilities......there is definitely a very well known version of this played by French musette accordion players called " Le Retour des Hirondelles" or "Return of the Swallows" . I have only ever heard it called that - Sharon plays it about 300% less cheesily than most accordion players but it is a show-stopper tune for accordionists and can be pretty impressive if played well. I say back to the Irish stuff ....

  • Very sweat!

  • If somebody know name of that tune, please post it:-) Thanks

  • Corradino, its a Spanish tune

  • The name of the tune is 'Les Hirondelles' which is French for 'the swallows'

  • why doesnt she play the bass buttons?

  • Irish trad accordion/melodeon players rarely use the basses. The English players do it more.

  • thats not true...almost all irish players ive seen use them...

  • Yeah, well she's so brill she does'nt have to! lol

  • could somebody tell me the name of this tune please

  • Fine girl ye self - always will love your music :o)

  • where's Mike???

  • Sharon Shannon is such a great player!!

This song - too bad it is incomplete and not the best quality - is a wonderful tune of hers, with fascinating alternating variations on the main theme. Nice to find it here!
