Steve Perry will always be the one and only "Voice" for me. Without him Journey isn't Journey. But Arnel is a great singer and it's very hard to walk in the footsteps of a "legend" like Steve Perry. And Arnel does a really great job.

I liked Jeff Scott Soto too. He's also a great singer.

If I HAD to listen to Arnel sing, I would rather hear him sing this then the old Journey classics! I'll always be a Perry fan and no one can sing them like he can! Sorry guys, to each his own.

Rude & hurtful remarks are not called for. Steve is friendly with Arnel and was done with Journey. Take an example from Steve who relates to Arnel. They both have so much in common with being close to their moms-their moms encouraging their music, their moms dying that they bond beneath their Journey experiences. No need to trash and slander a human being because he joined the band Steve used to and no longer wanted to belong to.

PERSONAL PREFERENCE may well be Steve yet Arnel deserves respect.

There should be no reason for 'heat' for this. No reason people can not to appreciate both men. True-some attached to Steve Perry years ago and he will always be special- that takes nothing away from another mans talent years later. Steve and Arnel both were close to their moms, sang because of their moms, lost their moms in death. They can relate in that way to each other as well as professional musicians. Fans can respect them both while having personal preference. Maybe, maybe a duet 1 day...
