@fingalful1 = Whether I can or not is not the subject , it is how she ignores the composers' instructions and the style of the work . A lot of people like this sort of

all of this, and of surpassing beauty as well. An angelic apparition amongst us but for one lifetime ... may it be as felicitous as the joy she gives her millions of fans.
yo quiero el video imagen y audio / de Leila Josefowicz tocando Saint Saens esta genial un suscripto lo tenia pero borro su cuenta gracias igaul amoracia7
Must check her agenda when she 's back in Europe - must find a way to hear her live. Hopefully she managed to keep the Guarneri as there are not that many around. Feel free to pm me if you got special news.
And no, she's no Kogan, nobodys is .......... thks yr reply
This is superb! A very thoughtful and at the same time passionate performance. We have been very fortunate in having Leila as a guest at Chamber Music Northwest during previous seasons.
Not of the same category - another class of player, very good but in another kind of spectre. I agree, there is lot's of talent on the loose but one might have preferences ......
I am completely speechless. She is totally unknown to me - I dwell mostly in my records of Kogan, Heifetz, Francescatti, Ricce etc. but this girl is a total surprise.
Her performance is one of the best I have heard. There is an enormous power in her play. Fantastic!
@zzp1 is her playing not just wonderful one of the best contemporary solosists. you are are right great power in her playing (not as good as kogan, but still superb) but also she has great control and beauty
Leila is a complete musician, and this is just one example of that. Her musicianship and technique rival those of any violinist alive. That she visits the limelight only occasionally would appear to be of her own accord, look at Martha Argerich: same thing...
Dazzling playing. Expressive. And such incredible intonation. Just when I thought I'd already heard all the best interpretations along comes Leila. Bravo!!!
Jeez, her Guarnerius is SO beautiful, both in aesthetics and in tonal beauty. I'm starting to regret not going to see her perform the Beethoven concerto when she was in Austin a few months ago.
Oh my! I am the first one to enjoy this beautiful performance of music - quite unique and a great delight to listen to. It's new to me, but very attractive. Leila certainly also has the charisma. Many thanks.
Beautiful rendition, if you don't like this, you have no taste for classical music.

Too bad she can't read composers instructions - beats the hell out of the work
The whole concept borders on dreadful all that sawing away not to
mention the awful orchestra . Elegance is not a word in their dictionary .

@zzp1 There are quite a few outstanding violinists among the younger generation who are worth listening to. Janine Jansen is another.
