  • What does the watchtower say about numerology, huh?

  • okay dude, stop erasing peoples opinion...a cult is where people give up everything to be controlled my a SCAM from some Russel dude to rip people off...GULLIBLE PEOPLE!!!

  • I only delete threats, the ones that say removed by author I didn't touch.

  • you didn't realize that the biggest property of a cult is that one person in charge think that they are god...look up jim jones

  • That is a big property, but it's not in the BITE properties that I did here.

  • The Jehovah's Witnesses don't really have one person to look up to as their cult leader according to the property you mentioned - or do they? Faithful and Discreet Slave? Mother?

The argument by JWs is always that they do not have another leader other than Christ. But I then must counter that question with "who really is the FDS" then? IF not another leader, then what? Is following the FDS the same as following the Christ? Can a person follow Christ and mortal man? Mt 24:5 Lu 21:8.

  • well how do you explain the first-century christians and their dealings with Paul? Were they following Paul or Jesus?

  • Good question. For a fact, many Christians did not follow Paul. They felt he was trying to bring back a Mosaic Law influence in some ways. That's why Christianity was taken over by apostates that kept Paul's words in the Bible. It was actually the early Catholic Church under Constantine that felt Paul's words were excellent for controlling the masses that were then embracing apostasized Christianity. I bet the FDS isn't teaching that, though he (they) wouldn't disagree.

  • There are books cited in the Bible that were left out. One is the book of Enoch. Another is the book of Jashar. Do a WT Library search on Jashar. You'll see it's mentioned, but why were the writings left out? Because the "early church" did not feel it was "inspired" and part of the original canon. So, let's get this straight. The "early church" knew more than the prophets that pointed to these writings?

  • wouldn't you agree that, the Bible has no gaps in stating Gods purpose or in providing needed counsel for day-to-day living. It tells us why we are here and where we are going. In brief—the Bible is complete.

  • I believe what he's referring to there is several times in the bible books outside the bible are mentioned for reference.

  • "...the Bible has no gaps in stating Gods purpose or in providing needed counsel for day-to-day living. It tells us why we are here and where we are going. In brief—the Bible is complete."

I'm going to scare the hell out of you here. The Moonies call this guidance and purpose the "Divine Principle" outlining God's "plan" toward perfection here in the future "Eden Earth".

It's kinda weird finding out the Moonies and the Witnesses are running just about neck and neck in ideology, isn't it?

  • what does your statement have to do with my comment?

  • I was explaining to you that the Moonies feel the exact same way you do. They also believe the Bible is complete for day to day living by and according to, in their words, "God's plan". That's the only difference. You say "purpose". They say "plan". You use the "Bible Teach" book. They use the "Divine Principle" book.

  • "In brief—the Bible is complete."

I'm going to ask you something Ray that will pretty much sum up why you have been instructed not to speak to ones like me.

If you believe the quote you stated, why then do you contradict that belief by trying to explain the use of the WT and Awake! magazines?

Google "Divine Principle" and you'll see the equivalent tool the Moonies use as a "Bible study aid". Sound familiar?

Did it ever occur that the JWs and Moonies are secretly joined at the head?

  • how am i contradicting myself

  • It appears to be a contradiction to say the Bible is complete for day to day living according to God's purpose and then support a group that unknowingly or unadmittedly interject "bible study aids" which inconsistently portrays the Bbile as not all that is necessary for day to day living according to God's purpose.

It's like saying "here's a glass of 100% kool-aid. We're just going to add a little cyanide to it, but it's still 100% kool aid.

The mags are where the propaganda is getting in.

  • Let me explain it another way:

Can a person learn about 1914 without a "Bible Study Aid"?

No. The reason is because the year 607 BCE isn't accurately derived from the Biblical record and the "times" and "day for a year" "rule" are all scriptural manipulations. These were technical tricks with verses and dates to get you under the FDS' captivity.

It's a cult trick called "Mystical Manipulation". All cults do it. Please learn about it. (google it)

I don't tell you this to hurt you.

  • What "mystical manipulation" does is tricks your mind into believing the ones in charge have some kind of divine pipeline (channel) to God, making themselves appear larger than life. How in hell do you think Moon has been able to fool millions of people? Do you think his followers are all idiots? Many of them were attending top schools like Dartmouth and Princeton when recruited. That's what makes it almost believable, just like "the truth".

  • We raise these questions to try to help you think on your own again, Ray. We understand the thought is scary to actually think on your own without the FDS doing the thinking for you. We've all been there. Consider the Moonies. Moon leads them. They're very clean and very polite. They believe they are in a "spiritual paradise". Moon thinks for them. You can see they're a mind controlling cult, but they can't see it themselves. Guess what? They call JWs a cult. Weird? It's time to really awaken.

  • I guess the early (Catholic) church was the Faithful Slave when the bible cannon was compiled... lol

  • @johnguay Uh, not sure what that has to do with the video. I think you're looking for a different vid.

  • What is funny is that we are perceived as Satan by raising these challenging questions. The same accusation has been leveled to millions of people who have escaped the Unification Church' grasp. They're called "Moonies". Maybe you may have heard of them. Many who have escaped are called "satanic" and are to be avoided by Moonie members at all costs. Sound familiar? It should. The Mormons do the same thing except the former members are called "apostate". Former freemasons are called "traitors".

  • actually i don't think of you as satan but just a person who wants a fair reasonable answer to your questions

  • Right. It was the talk on apostasy they gave the week they announced my disassociation and not agreeing with everything the FDS says and that apostates are unreasoning animals, unsuitable fish and countless other slurs against former members.

The talk that Sunday was on rebellion given by the PO. They cancelled the other speaker due to my sudden leaving. I got calls from some crying and others accusing.

It's the thought terminating cliche "apostate" that triggers the mind tothink Satan.

  • See, I like the point you bring up Raystone. Cult leaders DO believe they are god. The WTS leaders don't claim that at all. They merely claim to be "anointed".

Mt 24:5 - Many for shall come in the name of me, saying: I am the Anointed; and many they shall deceive. (Emphatic Diaglott)

  • problem with your argment is that not all of the FDS are anointed

  • None of them are anointed. They all "profess" to be anointed. Who do you think the FDS supposedly is? It's all those claiming to be anointed and they are represented by what is called a "governing body". 15 years mostly spent one mile from WT Farms. I know what the FDS claim to be. That's where they got most of them housed now.

  • they don't all profess to be anonited but some are

    Let me ask you

Who is the FDS to you? If you say there isn't one you are already contradicting the bible

  • You see Ray, what's happened here is the image of the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" has been built up in our minds as a larger than life entity through written propaganda and through public talks. The FDS has become a false god in the minds of the active members. The ones who realize this are the ones who escape. I once was here fighting as "gunshypi". Now I've gotten out. I have very little stress now thanks to Tim and these videos that helped me learn what logical fallacies are. I'm free. =)

  • well when i met them they sure did seem normal and didn't tell me to bow down to them

  • now if you feel meeting them is something spectacular than you yourself are making them an entity

  • They themselves do that by referring to themselves as "anointed", "glorious ones", etc. Sit in on a Revelation book study. I did three of the four times. That's mind control at its best.

  • how is the revelation book mind control?

  • Re: rev bk mind control:

Where do I begin? First, your question is good. It's hard to see the answer when you're trapped inside, but I'm glad you're seriously investigating. That's a sign of a truly open mind. It contains all these things: "mystical manipulation", "sacred science", meaning the book is accepted as absolute truth, leaving no room for questioning though many things are indeed in question, "loaded language" is also a major criteria in this book. Please learn these things.

  • Ray, please go to the google website and search Dr. Robert J. Lifton's "Eight Criteria For Thought Reform". There you'll see how your mind has been slowly taken over through literary and psychological tricks to deceive your mind into surrendering your will to these men.

  • That is a great website, hard to read after a while though.

  • I was hoping he'd find just the eight criteria. It was really enlightening for me when I first read it. I had to take a second and a third look at the doctor's findings until I was certain all eight criteria (and then some) were being met inside the JWs. That, coupled with the deceptive propaganda added up to something sinister, no matter how pristine it may have seemed. "Combatting Cult Mind Control" is also quite damning. You actually begin to see how the moonies could buy into all that crap.

  • I got a message this morning from raystone accusing me of being derogatory. If you look at all my posts nd messages, you can see I was nothing but polite to him for the most part. Especially at the end.

  • I don't know about Ray in particular, however alot of Witnesses think you're being derogatory just by questioning one of their beliefs. Even if it's done in a polite way. As for you...where are some new videos :)

  • I know. There's no excuse. I need to make some more. It's kind of discouraging to not be getting any response on the ones I have up already.

  • Steve Hassan felt the same way about "Father" Moon, the leader of the Moonies. He merely felt Moon was the "new" Messiah that had weaknesses. Moon'd cry. He'd eat and go to McDonald's. a regular guy - a regular guy with so much political juice in Washington DC it wasn't funny. When masses of thousands stormed Washington demanding Nixon be pardoned, it was a little known fact they were all Moonies, ordered by Moon himself for his friend Tricky Dickie. Read "Combatting Cult Mind control".

  • now on this same topic or question becareful not to judge by saying "well how do we know they are telling the truth" because we have faith that they are telling the truth, not saying that everyone you declares that they are a discreet slave is telling the truth but why be the judge if jehovah deems them worthy then why shouldnt we. and if they are doing whats right then whats wrong with following them now if they are saying they are christ, which they never did, then we have a problem.

  • JK, when you reply to the comments on a video, you must reply to the comment by selecting "reply" to the right of the comment I made or I won't see it. Same thing with Timkilgore. You must reply to the right of his comments for him to see it. If you reply in the window below, we don't get notified that you replied. And yes, I am propagandatechniques. TimKilgore is the one who taught me about logical fallacies, thus helping me exit the cult.

  • what do u want to know next about this question, how they know they are 1 of the chosen ones well if so here it is. scriptures in the bible clearly states that these chosen ones will know whom they are by means of god's holy spirit beacuse they are in a closer union with christ than the "other sheeps" are they are considered christ's adoptive brother and sister's whom were chosen from the earth to join him in his thousand year rulership why because in god's eyes they are deemed worthy.

  • "why be the judge if jehovah deems them worthy then why shouldnt we."

Who, other then the men who call themselves "faithful and discreet slave CLASS", are claiming that Jehovah judges them worthy? I mean, you believe some bunch of men that are decribing themselves in this way with absolutely no verification from God? Did a voice from heaven call to you and tell you they are God's beloved and that you are to listen to them?

Reply to the "reply" button to the right of this comment. Thanks.

  • ok no a voice didnt call to me and say they were, but hey did a voice call to you and saying that they weren't gods beloved and anointed chosen ones. no right, so like i said who are we to judge them in saying "they are lying". ( they are not telling us to hate god and talk bad about him or anything referring to him, are they.. no?) instead they are helping people to get on the right track with god... so once again.. what's the problem with that?

  • "did a voice call to you and saying that they weren't gods beloved and anointed chosen ones."

No. The original Greek Writings tell me that:

Mat 24:5 "Many for shall come in the name of me, saying: I am the Anointed; and many they shall deceive."

  • Oh Snap! If we're counting bible ping pong points that's like a 7 right there.

  • Lol!

  • yes the scriptures does say that but, put it this way we know there is one true religion ok, who is to tell that jw's isnt it. based on what they teach they are it to me, further more there are many other religions claiming to have anointed ones as well, why dont anyone ever question them as well, why only jw's. (im telling you it satan causing all the problems for jw's satan know who the true religion is, just as his demons knew who christ was when he came and no onelse didnt. but the disciples

  • Q) "yes the scriptures does say that but, put it this way we know there is one true religion ok, who is to tell that jw's isnt it."

    A) The scriptures are what tell us, that you admit say just that, which you obviously disregard.

  • ok first thing the faithful and discreet slave is not claiming to be christ, they are claiming to in brother hood with christ as one of jehovahs chosen sons, whom are deemed worthy by god for heavenly life as rulers with christ jesus over the entire earth when jehovah establishes his heavenly government. and also that scripture was for people to not get confused with people whom claim to be christ the discreet slave never claimed to be christ to begin with they said they are in a closer union.

  • "...and if they are doing whats right then whats wrong with following them now if they are saying they are christ, which they never did, then we have a problem."

Your words... "then we have a problem". My friend, you do in fact have a problem then. Read from the Emphatic Diaglott what the "discreet" don't want you to see:

Mat 24:5 "Many for shall come in the name of me, saying: I am the Anointed; and many they shall deceive."

"reply" to the right of this message plz

  • im not gonna read any books or articles that claim the jw's said this and said that, because most of them are made up and are from people who just wanna bring jw's down. and who just dont like the religion for whatever reason, everyone just wants to put their two cents in about jw's it seems like it's the whole world against us. but hey jesus did say "you will be objects of hatred by all nations for my name's sake" and now i see what he was talking about. (shame)

  • This little mini series actually is based on a book called "Combatting Cult Mind Control" by Steve Hassan. It doesn't mention JWs in it whatsoever. So feel free to read it. Not reading articles that paint the org in a negative light means that you're not really seeking truth, but just seeking to believe something is truth. Would it make sense for a Catholic to not read any anti-Catholic material? How would they know JWs are the truth if they won't do that?

  • well they will know it's the truth because christ stated his true disciples will have certain qualities, and by those certain qualities and by the love they hav. for he did say "by this all will know you are my disciples, if you have love amongst yourselves".

  • After you're baptized, wait until you decide you've had enough, then come on here talking about how loving they are among themselves. They're loving toward you as long as you agree with them. See how much they treat you like the prodigal son when they disown you as something worse than a pedophile when you simply leave. Try it. Then come back and see how they will seat you in the back row like vile scum for six months. There will be no fatted calf or a bright shiny ring or new sandals.

  • ok if i do get baptized with them that would obviously mean IM WILLING TO SERVE GOD ALONG WITH THE ORGANIZATION as one people. so why would i be wanting to leave and if i did decide to turn back they would have a right to disown me because i just decided that i no longer care about serving god the right way, and left now wouldnt you be mad to if it were you. pic: "someone works for u and then just ups and leave wouldnt you be mad and not rehire them if they chose to come back" (be fair guys)

  • "someone works for u and then just ups and leave wouldnt you be mad and not rehire them if they chose to come back" (be fair guys)

You're joking, right? You really aren't claiming to be a follower of Christ and then trying to justify blackballing, are you?

I've had employees leave. As with former girlfriends, I always say the same thing - "You're welcome to come back if you change your mind." That's what Christ would want us to do. There's no justification for blackballing.

  • Your statement here about having the right to disown them because they no longer care about serving God the right way, you're saying that everyone who leaves is doing so in order to not serve God the right way. First you have to prove that it is truth for that to be right, and prove that people aren't leaving because they feel that JWs are serving God incorrectly. They could be trying to serve God the right way, and feel they have to leave JWs in order to do that.

  • "im not gonna read any books or articles that claim the jw's said this and said that, because most of them are made up and are from people who just wanna bring jw's down."

First, I was quoting from the Emphatic Diaglott. Do you even know what that is? That's a literal word for word translation of the Greek Scriptures that the WTS bought the plates to in 1902 so you won't be able to see what the Greek words are really saying. If you won't read it, how will you see the truth?

  • well no i dont really know what that is but i'll ask them what it is and hear what they say.

  • I just told you what it is (Emphatic Diaglott). It's a word for word Greek translation the WTS bought the plates to in 1902. They have it tucked away safely from your eyes.

  • ok if you say so.

  • and as the bible says we will know the truth by " the christ like qualities and the love in the gongregation" along with their teachings

  • The pedophile that agrees with the FDS CLASS is loved. Mother Teresa who was catholic was an evil apostate. They're the judges. They would know, right?

  • well god told us to forgive eacother, and jw's are willing to forgive everyone. and second u talk about jw's but who the hek is mother thresea and who gave any authority over anyone.

  • on this question um this is what we were called to do (preach) about god's kingdom, suffering for it is not an option to us because we know we will for the bible says "you will be objects of hatred by all nations for my names sake, further suffering for god proves how much you love him, but suffering for your sins only says you deserved it but if you can endure the slaps you get for your sins then why cant u do the same for god and his name. and if u're willing to suffer for him he will accept u

  • and as that scripture states christ was our model our example and he is whom we must imitate in order to please jehovah and serve him wholeheartedly. jesus knew we would suffer as well as god for as the bible states "the world is being mislead by satan" and thats why we suffer the way we do. but its ok this is where we belong this what we were called for suffering for god's name proves how much we love him but suffering for your sins what does that say other than you deserved it read 1 pete 2:20

  • im not exactly sure what you want me to do with that scripture, because im not confused but if you want me to break it down i'm not sure which one but i will try anyway. well that scripture is basically saying that we as gods people this is what we were called to do (preach) and yes we will suffer for it just as the bibile says "u will be objects of hatred by all nations for my names sake", and christ suffered for us so why shouldnt we be willing to do the same for him and his father.

  • for everyone here who says jw's will not answer any questions you're wrong, because i consider myself as one of them and i'am answering these questions, now the reason you may not get any answers from the others is because you may come off rude and dont want to give them a chance to explain or speak or you might start bickering with them and we dont want to bicker with anyone we only want to teach as god says we must be witnesses of him as the bible says we must be humble but we cant if u act up

  • well in reply to this question, no you cannot leave this organization and expect to not be shunned. now reasons for that is you leaving the organazation is the same as you willingly not wanting to accept god or his words. now being shunned for that reason is because why would you want to speak with someone who willingly does not accept god's words, now there is a difference between willingly and unwillingly now a person who does not accept it is sum 1 who does not know fully about jehovah as yet

  • and if all that the jw's speak and preach about was not written in the bible, then yes by all means i would see a reason for questioning what they preach. as person whom accepts the bible's teachings 1 should feel unsuitable if they stop their study, now remeber it's not all about jw's it all about the bible's teachings and they are representing jehovah and his words, so if you stop studying with them then it's the same as you stopped listening to jehovahs words and therefore make yourself unsui

  • are you the one who is propaganda, if so you look different. but anyway about the unsuitable fish question. um yes honestly i would consider myself unsuitable and this no joke. reasons why is because i would feel goilty cause i know that everything they teach is the truth and why because it is written in the bible. i would feel as if i hev betrayed god and there are certain times when i do things and that guilt does really come over me, cause i know they speak the truth.

  • i dont understand where exactly is this going i dont know if it's to be sarcastic or what but hey, but i have been studying for a year now with jw's and iam willing to tackle any questions that you may have regarding the jehovah's witnesses and their beleifs and anything else, because one thing i hate is when people try to bad mouth jw's or make them seem like they are liars,so go ahead give me your questions jehovah will help me by means of his holy spirit to answer them.

  • Okay JK, have Jehovah's Holy Spiriot help you answer this one; Is following the Faithful and Discreet Slave "CLASS" the same as following the Christ? Be careful how you answer, carefully considering the words of Jesus below.

(Luke 21:8) . . .He said: Look out that YOU are not misled; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying that I am he, and that the due time has approached. Do not go after them."

  • to answer this question u must first define waht you mean by FOLLOWING? do you mean following their EXAMPLE or their explanations of the bible? if not then what do you mean by FOLLOWING? u see, in all fairness this question is VERY tricky.

  • Here's an example... Jesus said this: Mt 24:5 "Many for shall come in the name of me, saying: I am the Anointed; and many they shall deceive. Not therefore go you after them." Lu 21:8 (Emphatic Diaglott)

The WTS claims to be comprised of "anointed" individuals and you're told that questioning the direction they give shows independent thinking and is evidence of pride.

With these two examples, who should you be obeying?

  • To follow. To go after, to engage as a way of life, obey, pursue

Jesus said at Mt 24:5 "Many for shall come in the name of me, saying: I am the Anointed; and many they shall deceive. Not therefore go you after them." Lu 21:8 (Emphatic Diaglott)

The WTS claims to be comprised of anointed ones. Who should you obey?

  • In all fairness, JK, I should also let you have another scripture to help you, since you may be feeling a little confused.

(1 Peter 2:21) . . .In fact, to this [course] YOU were called, because even Christ suffered for you, leaving you a model for you to follow his steps closely.

  • you have to understand that not ALL the scriptures apply to every follower. let me explain. some of jesus' teachings were aplicable only or better yet SPECIFICALLY to the small flock (the 144,00). this does not mean that others can not benefit from them. IN ORDER TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE TRUE MEANING TO THIS YOU HAVE TO REALIZE THE WHOLE CONTEXT OF THE SITUATION IN WHICH JESUS STATED THIS VERSE. who was he talking or refering to in this scrip?

  • The small flock... Do you mean the little flock of Jews Jesus was speaking to before God turned his attention to the Gentiles? Or, do you mean the so-called "anointed ones" of Jehovah's Witnesses lore?

  • When you are done with that question, JK, I have another very simple question for you, seeing that you've been studying for a whole year already and most certainly know what you're talking about. Can a person simply leave this organization and not be shunned?

  • I might as well ask one more question while you're still in the mood to teach me about your new faith, JK; Do you actually believe you will be like an "unsuitable fish" if you decide you do not want to study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses using the Watchtower Society's publications anymore?

"As with the unsuitable fish, many who once studied the Bible with Jehovah's people have stopped studying." (w08 7/15 pg 21 par 19)

See my video, "Hypnotic Bait and Switch".

  • p.s i mearly want to have a conversation NOT a discussion or argument.

  • I think you're commenting on the wrong video. This video is an intro to cult properties made because too many people call JWs a cult without even knowing what a cult is. If you want to have a conversation about a specific thing you can try PMing me.

  • It's just a question of perspective dood and a nice word to bash peoples beliefs with since it's commonly associated with mass suicide and extremism. Horses for courses.

  • wonderful! wonderful! got to listen to more later.

  • Timkilgore - "these questions are not designed to draw people to the conclusion that jevovah's witnesses are a cult". that sounds an awful lot like the "im not trying to convert you" line jws say at the doors. the sad thing in life is it seems this is the only way to reason to people nowadays in a round about indirect way and not taking any real sides. when did people become so sensitive?

  • Since this is tough questions I'm trying to remain neutral and presenting both sides. I want people to draw their own conclusions.

  • keep it up. i think what you doing is amazing...now the trick is to get jdubs to look at this.

  • Thanks for the compliment. I don't know if I need a trick per say, they're just questions right. I'm sure someone out there has an answer for them. Didn't Tom Sawyer discover human nature when he pretended that no one else could paint the fence, people always do what you tell them not to.

  • Great video brother tim thanks for sharing your questions(five stars)

  • cool sound track brother tim...please be nice?

getting some jw hate male bro?go check out njgoldsmith..channel :)..nj hates apostates.

  • I've written them out, as I said I will be asking follow up questions aimed towards Jehovah's Witnesses but I'm not drawing conclusions. I don't think njgoldsmith will be coming round here too much because I'm only asking questions. I'm not interested in pissing contests about who's right or wrong, just an answer would be nice :)

  • LOL.. you will get no answers bro..all you will get is hate mail from angry jws..

they will call you names like APOSTATE and lonely wimp and coward and bully...and many many more names..but you will not recieve any answers..i like the way they will not let you comment on their vids..yet they go around bashing every other religon or anyone who does not agree with them..

  • I fully expect the hate mail, as I said though I'm going to try my hardest to get everything kind of neutral and just asking for an answer. I hope that just prompts a defense and not someone becoming defensive. But hey if you can help me out and call everyone for every ad hominem attack that'd be great :)

  • I have noticed that about some of their vids, I hate to say it because it sounds so negative but it does seem that open discussion and critique of their religion is not allowed but free reign is given for every other religion. I don't know maybe some are different.

  • thankyou brother tim..i will try my best to help you out bro..jah bless:)i will join you in your quest to expose the watchtower comic books..keep up the cyber witnessing brother.

    much agape

  • If you can, come in this thread and help. She's been replying to you but she's been doing it in the bottom window. you may want to read the whole discussion. I just dicovered this today.

  • You should have been a journalist.

  • This should prove to be interesting.
