Kevin Nash dropped the belt at Survivor Series 1995 to Hart and the iron man match was in 1996.

Sure Bret could have been booked better but most of the random feuds that he was in around the mid 90's were all spin offs of the Lawler/Hart feud that the WWF relentlessly kept going. I was never a fan of that feud because of all the unnecessary things that stemmed from it but I can't point the blame at the Kliq

Diesel was the only one to win a world title up until the Iron man match. Waltman was more or less a glorified jobber and Razor came out on the short end in feuds against Jarrett and HBK and never got a full main event push outside of perhaps around the time he came to the WWF to begin with
