It appears to me as a Kenwood kdc-mp538u. The same head unit that i have, although he still needs to take it out of demo mode so the display screen quits scrolling across!

Read your manual. Don't quote me on this, but i believe you enter standby mode, hold in the right wheel, (press in wheel), then scroll down to where it says something about demo mode, and switch it to off. If that doesn't work, then play with it a bit. But again, everything you need to know about your radio is in the manual dude.

I'm not sure what he meant by amps? The subs are rated from 50 to 400 watts rms. If the alpine amplifier is 2-ohm stable, then i am sure you will bee just fine. that is, if the alpine amp is rated 500 watts *rms*. Rms is the average output, Realistically you will never see ANYTHING put out it's max rating. If it were me i would save my money for a slightly bigger amplifier, but if this is the path in which you choose, the alpine should be just fine.

actually if you look at vids from kennethycong, he has a 500 watt alpine amp and although theyre not pushed to their limit, they bump good

i have a 1250w power acoustik amp putting like 280 or so rms to each sub....whitch each one is 400rms...im thinking about getting the same model just the 2200 version....and then each sub would get like 380w rms at 4ohm

The system is great i know a little about installation and i hooked it up myself and it sounds awesome. If u got it hooked up professionally it might sound even more awesome. And ya u can hear it from down the street.
